Not sure about that, but I can see it working. Where was this?

Brilliant, amigo! Why couldn't we just use spicy chicharrones instead of cheetos?

Akimi house on Nasa pkwy, webster area.

They also have one at oishi house, by costco on 59, though I've never tried it. HEB has a cheeto roll too, but do not recommend (theirs is more a topic for the food poisoning thread).

both akimi house (a little pricey) and oishi (great lunch values) in particular are excellent though, just in general not cheeto rolls (this thread just reminded me of those).

It's like the Doritos taco: you have to try it.

Yes, i've done it, but you'll also want to add some cayenne if you want is spicy.

A little off topic but I love watching these videos from Bon Appetit where a pastry chef tries to recreate "gourmet" versions of snack foods - in this case, Cheetos:

She also does the same with a whole bunch of other stuff, like starburst and kit kats. I think I enjoy them because it ends up being a tortured, ridiculous multi-hour process to recreate a $2.00 bag of cheetos.

Anyway, I've never been a fan of cheetos in sandwiches because the hardness of the cheeto and the irregular shapes causes it to tear into the meat or the bread or whatever.

I once saw a recipe for Snickers bars. I was all, "Hell's yeah! Just gonna whip up a batch of Snickers whenever I want!" Recipe had something like 37 ingredients and the section on making nougat was a page and a half and took over an hour in prep and creating. Seventy-five cents for a Snickers is the greatest bargain on the planet.

Except for the part when you actually ingest it into your body. :D
But I hear you. It is kind of a manufacturing miracle.

Tried this last week. It, was good, but not amazing. 8-10. If you like Cheetos and fried chicken I'd recommend it.
