Westbrook would instantly be a fan favourite considering how everyone loved beverley and loves tucker now. Westbrook is even more effort than both of them. That said, Ive never been a fan of him because i dont think he plays winning basketball. But it’s definetely clear that people around here would just love him.
Because the franchise loves him and ows him a lot. Im 100% sure if Westbrook says „no“ to knicks or whomever who wants to trade for him, they won‘t trade him there.
If CP3 is truly WANTING Westbrook on this team then he's pretty much saying loud & clear he's ready for retirement, and just wants to coast the next couple of years on his way out. Westbrook on this team means CP3 is basically a spot up shooter at most.
If we somehow get Westbrook we're not getting Iggy, not enough salary to move for both players...unless we also move Clint, which would be dumb as ****.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gordon has to be in the trade. You can't just sign and trade Shump and combine him with Gordon. We're only 7-8 mill below the apron. Sign-and-trade hard caps us. We have trade exceptions for 2-3 mill, so Shump S&T would only add an extra 4 mill to any deal, and you could just trade filler for that anyways. I keep seeing Shump sign-and-trades and it makes no sense to me.
