At the end of the day, that is what matters. I don't like umpires making calls like that if they aren't egregious, but is what it is.
So glad it all worked out in the end. Too bad Pressly had to throw before the ASG, but I think he made a damn good case for coming in when they need a lockdown guy during it. I shudder to think how much grief the ineffably-nice Jake Marisnick is going to get from idiots and the media (but I repeat myself.) Glad George got to redeem himself. You know he has being hard on himself for missing previous opportunities.
Great come from behind win. I think wins like this really matter during the season. Just a few observations since we are now at the all star break: 1. If Correa can come back healthy and stay healthy, this offense can really take off if everyone can stay healthy. 2. Alvarez needs to stay at DH as much as possible this year. His hitting is amazing and we don't win this game without his bat. 3. Altuve - I'm super pumped he is back. His speed looks great and he is hitting better since coming back. One thing I hope to see him do better come October is his plate patience. I still think he is chasing more than we used to see. 4. Team batting with RISP - I hope this team can get better come playoff time. They had some real chances of blowing this game wide open. Too many times this year we've seen guys at 2nd base with no outs just sit there. I think once everyone is back, this should get better but man it's a struggle. 5. Pitching/trades - I hope Luhnow can land two pitchers at the deadline. If Wade, Cole, or Verlander go down in the 2nd half, they are in real trouble. The lack of depth right now for SP is troubling.
