    The next night on Directv, the Hawks announcers were saying virtually the same things about the "Franchise". T'would appear that the word is getting out on SF...

    that game was against the Warriors. I was talking about the one 2 years ago against the Mavericks....before yao ming....:cool:

    Re-reading this old recap just makes me sad. Remember how much optomism we had for the Franchise? It makes these "TRADE FRANCIS!" threads all the more depressing.

    Some quotes from Clutch's recap that make me misty-eyed:

    "Any point guard who scores 25 points and hands out 14 assists belongs in the All Star game. Throw in 17 boards and you're talking Hall of Fame. Hell, his own wing in the building."

    Sorry, not quite a triple double.....but Steve did have 33 points in 33 minutes in 13-18 attempts + 9 rebounds in a 124-87 win :cool:

    I don't understand why it's such a big deal about what the Mavs announcer said. We have Rocket fans on this board who say the same thing everyday.

    Why would we care if an announcer is speaking the truth like this guy is?

    Francis is the most overated player in the NBA....a good player whom the rule changes have relegated to an average player.

    The Zone is killing steve but he will adapt

    In all fairness, I don't think being 5th seed in the west constitutes an overrated team. Going 6-0 vs the Rockets vs the past two years (with more wins to come), what does that make the Rockets using that logic?
