I don't know all the rules about NBA trades, but why didn't Rockets or Mavs make a deal with GS for Iggy if they really want him? Instead of losing assets, they would've gotten Iggy plus several picks.

They didn't have the cap space to absorb him …. Memphis took him into the trade exception created by moving Conely.

He was asking why we didn't just deal with GSW instead of going thru Memphis … We didn't have the cap space to absorb him and send back nothing - Memphis did.

GSW cleared some salary and generated a TPE. We couldn't offer them that … and would have had to send back salary.

And Dallas didn’t do it because they needed their cap space

We should all be under the impression that we would be getting Iggy for essentially nothing more than 2nd round picks. I am highly skeptical that Dork Pelvis wouldn give up a 1st for Igloodala

If he is that good, Warriors won't trade him.

Random - but why didn't/don't Dallas trade for Dragic?

They clearly did nothing with their cap-space. He would've been a boon to their young team.

You have to wonder if the Grizz are using a Rockets trade threat to try to get Iggy to take less in buyout talks. Still, a trade could benefit Iggy by him retaining his Bird rights and being in the position to play for a bigger contract next year than what he would get on the free agent market.

LOL, best team in the West with a 2 headed wing monster looking to add Iggy. Sure, corner the market on defensive wings.

At least the Rockets can resign Shumpert!.....maybe?
