Liked them both but went Battier simply because Trevor's first go around with the Rockets was so painful.

Battier was a much more consistent shooter.

Otherwise they were pretty equal, so Battier gets the edge pretty comfortably in my book.

Oh yeah? Well Battier didn't even get a chance to miss 400 3s in a WCFs game 7 because he only got out of the 1st round 1 time for the Rockets! Way to go!

Ring chaser for the Heat, I mean Ariza already got his since Kobe did it for him.

Hmm, just in case, I'm not serious on either points :)

on the court, they were pretty similar 3 and D players. off the court, Battier was just a Class A dude. Vote goes to Battier.

Ariza was me favorite player when he was here but got to go Battier - he was a legendary Rocket.

    Truly bled Rockets RED

I'm always going to love Trevor Ariza. I love him so much I forgive him for missing 12 straight three pointers in game 7. But Shane Battier was just a really special player and leader. Hell, what's he doing now? Can we get him on our coaching staff?

Battier was a more consistent shooter, was a leader, and had HEART. The dude worked his butt off every time he was on the field.

Off topic, I met Rafer at a local poker house, I was sitting next to him and he was extremely nice...... and a bad poker player lol. I went all in with him couple times and I couldn’t believe the cards he went all in with hahahhaha.

Ariza's first step mars things a bit... Battier though would not shoot at the buzzer because it would hurt his stats... Ariza has no problem going 0 for 7 from 3.

Ariza...Battier wasn’t worth giving up a top 10 lottery pick for.

Battier was trash and would consistently get lit up on defense. People love him because the Houston chron would talked about his professionalism and retiringness of a rocket. Dude would average a weak ass 3ppg with a prime Yao and Tmac. He was also afraid to shoot the 3s as open as he was.

Saw the thread title and was hoping for a cage match video.

    Came away disappointed.
