This is where I wish MLB allowed teams to trade draft picks. I think Reed would have been worth some team's 40th round pick.
They should do something to promote the MLB Draft to make it a bigger event. Would be good for the league. Only problem, though, is the nature of the sport. People watch the NFL and NBA draft to watch their favorite teams draft players who can contribute the next year (or year after). Once drafted by an MLB team, however, they won't be able to contribute to the big league club for a few years, and have to climb through the minors. Trading picks would also be very exciting, give teams more options, and would add a lot not just to the draft, but trades in general.

Great guy, dominated SEC competition both at the plate and on the mound. Partial to the big, LHH, power 1B. I still believe if he just gets a real chance somewhere, he can figure it out.

Apparently he has good breaking balls. His fastball also saw a spike in velocity after recovering from TJS.
Damn shift !1!1!1 We had the batter set up for an outside changeup ... and he poked it right down the third base opening . One real drawback of the shift is that it influences how you have to pitch
Luhnow's been pretty adament about his desire for the Astros to own the Mexican market, not just for fans and revenue but he feels there's a seriously untapped amount of talent.
Thrown some at 96 and 97. Scouting reports were that he's low 90s and can get it to 95 so the velo is a bit of a surprise. Changeup has nasty action and the breaking ball looks at least average if not a little better.
Nice use of the change up when he was struggling to locate the fb. If it wasn’t for a slapper away from the shift he would’ve gotten out unscathed.
He's got to throw more changeups His fastball is pretty straight and his breaking ball has a lot of break but seems be inconsistent with location (though he snapped off some sick ones ) He was a "pitchibility" guy and lemme say , his stuff is more than enough for him to be successful . So , he's just got to get used to MLB hitters and hone in on his location .
