lol, every free agent is always going to the Lakers. No one knows for sure. It's a safe bet to pick a team and ride with it and if it changes say whoops things change. At worst they have a 33% chance. We won't know until we know.
There has been zero buzz about the Clippers or the Raptors. It’s been all Lakers. Sure...sometimes those reports are wrong, but given that it’s been pretty much 100% pointing to the Lakers, I’d say it’s a done deal barring a true miracle.
You have some good ideas. I’m not sure how doable they are, certainly not under Silver, who’s corrupt as all get out, IMO, but something needs to be done. The league is broken, most of the fan base that follow particular teams that aren’t in California are getting really pissed off at the manipulations going on, the way refs are assigned in the playoffs, the obvious media promotion from sources with close ties to the league (ESPN) pushing elite players to certain teams. It’s certainly happening here, and we can’t be alone. I used to laugh at an old friend of mine who said all the time with disgust, “It’s rigged!” I don’t out and out agree with him, not yet, but I don’t laugh at him so much anymore.

I'm not doubting something fishy IS going on with Paul and his agency. However we already have Paul doing everything possible to funnel Davis to the Lakers. He also cannot say he is representing his clients best interest as the trade kicker was waived all so the Lakers could get another max free agent. We also have another Klutch client, J.R, Smith likely going to the Lakers......... the smoke is already there.
Those are all good ideas. Another one that I remember hearing floated was to extend the contracts of lottery picks, but increase their base salary a great deal. The idea being that teams would have lottery picks for 3-4 years longer, with mutual options but the amount of money in those later years would be higher.
