College game is all about guard play. The shorter 3 point shot is the equalizer so the teams with the best bigs don't always win. You have to remember Tim Duncan and Shaq never made the final four.
College ball is about to implement the international distance for 3 pointers. Will be interesting to see what affect this has on the guard play.
Last year we shot over 900 three's and Armoni and Corey Davis took about 600 of those. The international trip is going to be interesting just to see who emerges as a 3 point shooter for this years team with the new distance.
Chances are strong they add a few more in the coming seasons. There has been such a long drought it would be amazing to see UH return to perennial status of advancing deep into the tournament.
I don't know. I'm a fan of kids staying in college. Get an education Spend time on the bench learning the game meet co-eds It's not a bad life and it can help your future
been a big fan of hinton since he's got here. hopefully makes a big leap in year 2. he's got a ton of legit potential/talent
Hinton was rushing his shot a lot. He'll need to just kinda calm down and at the same time take more shots. We'll need someone to take up the scoring mantle.
https://www2.ljworld.com/sports/201...in-grimes-excited-for-fresh-start-at-houston/ Little story about Grimes. Too bad the rules require him to sit for a year. Next year he'll be a beast in the conference after working with the staff.
im surprised LSU got taken off. I think they've played each other for 5 years straight now and those games were great in recent years, especially in the last two
Looks like it was 4 straight years starting in the 15-16 season. Scheduled two home and homes. Guess it didn't get renewed this year, which is unfortunate because it was a series that helped both teams. I also wonder if we'll be doing another preseason scrimmage with Tech in Dallas like we did last year. Given our lackluster out of conference schedule, it would be nice for the team to face another quality opponent before conference play starts.
It doesn't look like we are starting in the top 25, which I understand, but that means we need some ranked wins to ensure our position in the tournament.
Last season was special, it put Houston and Sampson in the spot light. Odds are against another historic run this season, however if they take care of business out of conference then they can try and climb against Cincinnati and the others in conference.
