Yuli IL might be in store on the 25 man. DFA candidates abound on the 40

 

Oh yeah, forgot about him. Have we heard any update on his ankle/leg? With the off days, a trip to the DL will be easier to handle.

Possibly Deetz to the 60 day IL for the 40 man roster move.

 

Sure, but then they'd have to pay him a ML salary which I don't know if they want to do or not. And he accrues service time. Which I can't imagine they'd care about. My guess is they might be as apt to DFA him as bother transferring him to the 60, but that's a guess based upon nothing.

 

There's also the possibility of DFA'ing Reed. I'd be willing to risk losing him at this point.

Does anyone know the status of Tyler Ivey? Is he injured? Suspended?

Tyler Ivey is listed as pitching for the GCL Astros right now, though he hasn't been officially added to the roster, so it's possible it's a mistake. I think there was a game the other day that said Solomon was pitching, when it was actually Yeremi Ceballos. If it is Ivey, it's good to see him on track to pitch again.

There will be a handful of names added as July 2 bonuses/signings are announced.

 

So I am assuming this ends the occasional let's call up Reed to replace White posts.

 

Will be very interesting to see if Reed gets claimed or traded. Surely he won’t pass all the way thru waivers given he still has an option left. Marlins, Royals, Tigers, Indians, White Sox, and Orioles should all be lining up to give him a chance.
