Considering what happened in 2014... Bosh reneging on the deal followed by Parsons signing with Cuban in a club... it would be sweet, sweet, schadenfreude if both Miami and Dallas face some hardship in this Jimmy Butler mess. How has this happened multiple times in the last year ? Teams not being in sync with who they are trading ?? Are GMs just trying to rip other people off and hope that the other team just accepts the deal ??
Maybe Morey and Co knew Butler couldn’t technically go to Miami and were “pretty” confident he could only come here.
I hope they end up losing Bam in the end of this. Would be even sweeter if it was Bam, Richardson (already gone) and Winslow.
We need to find ways to move the HOUSTON ROCKETS FORWARD. Not sure why you are content with some other franchise hardship for something that happened 5 years back
It's a zero sum game. A team that can't improve, especially in your own division (Dallas Mavericks), means your own team is in better shape.
I mean, I saw Miami and I saw all the machinations that would involve and simultaneously thought 2 things: 1) No way all that gets done without someone having to eat a **** sandwhich, and 2) No way this deal doesn't ultimately get done, b/c for all the talk about cap and the like there is always a way when a star decides he wants to go somewhere. I'm sure this deal will happen in some form or fashion, but it will be funny to me if/when Butler doesn't get a full max, just like it will be funny to me when the Heat suck throughout the entirety of his tenure there and he blows up and causes a **** storm there like he has everywhere else he's ever been. I would have been ok with him coming here, but I've been preaching run it back ever since KD and Thompson got hurt, that the Rockets were the best team in the West, even after the AD deal. That being said, if Kwahi goes there it's pretty clearly a lock, minus injuries to at least 1, and maybe 2 of Kwahi, Lebron and AD. I thought the Rockets had a reasonable window with the dubs taking a step back. Looks like LA is hell bent on closing that window for the rest of the league. Too bad- I'd really enjoy a season where the only question worth asking isn't "can this super team stay reasonably healthy and waltz to a title?"
Maybe because nothing WE do affects the Rockets' personnel decisions??? Are you so confused that you think our wishing harm on past enemies actually has an effect on the Rockets?
