I'm more worried about Kawhi going to the Lakers than hard-capping our roster and depleting our already dwindling depth for Jimmy B.
If he picks the heat over the rockets....thatd be crazy... if anything i think this is a good sign, philly is our biggest competitor, i believe lakers have bigger fish to fry.
Really don't like the idea of waiting out FA for this guy to "maybe" take a S&T when opting in makes the team soo much better. CP3 spoiled us last time around so we could sign PJ. Jimmy doesn't look like that guy... Even if we got him in a S&T it's gonna be rough...
Huge Morey fan but the truth is he failed drastically last year at building a bench until the midway point of the season. Hardens heroics saved the season and saved Moreys job more than likely. He got really lucky with Rivers, and Faried. With the Lakers doing what they are doing I doubt the Rockets will have as easy of a sell to those vet min guys after the trade deadline. Morey is going to need to have a much much better July - September this year or this team could be screwed. Right now, the Rockets look like they might be heavily relying on Gary Clark, Hartenstein, and Vince Edwards to be legit NBA rotation players. That alone is risky as hell.
Shams has reported from the Atlantic that Kawhi and Jimmy Butler are interested in joining up and playing for the LA Clippers. The new 32 M that the Lakers have make them the favorites for Kawhi or Butler, Kemba in my opinion.
It feels more and more like he's just after the full 190 from Philly, and he's probably going to get it.
Good luck to Eric Gordon and CLint Capela who know they have been shopped all summmer. Oh well next season may be a goner
