This was my prediction weeks back. Still sticking to it as much as I'd love Jimmy to come home.

Someone suggested that this could be pressure on the Sixers... "If you don't do the S&T with Houston, he will walk to the Clippers."

Why can't they team in New York? Stay the hell out of the West if you're not coming to Houston.

for some odd reason, CP3 and Clint never clicked on these alley's. If Rockets get DJ, CP3 would be back to throwing those alley's again. You know Harden can make any dunk and block center even better.

Tucker and EG don't make the money work , its got to be Capela and EG …. or else you don't have the money to fill out the roster and remain under the hard cap - even if every open spot is veteran minimums and they'd have to leave the 15th spot vacant for the entire year.

Tuck being "available" might just be a means to get teams on the phone + gauge the market a little bit. I'd be stunned if he were moved.

Obviously I don't want this to happen - but if they added Kawhi and Butler and managed to bring back Beverely and Trez - my god that'd be fun to watch.

There's the necessary team to threat the Sixers of losing him for free and accept our s&t.

    Stephen A.:

Jimmy Butler has an interesting situation. He can get a 4-year, $146.5M deal from the Sixers but he would prefer a 5-year max at $190M. Then again, you're hearing about the Houston Rockets, Daryl Morey & those boys trying to get their hands on him. He's been communicating with James Harden a lot from what my sources tell me. Now why would that be the case? Is it because he really wants to go to Houston which is near his hometown where he grew up or does he want to use Houston as leverage to get a 5-year max from Philadelphia? If you're the Sixers, you might not feel compelled to do anything. You can offer him a 4-year deal or the 5-year max and if he chooses to leave, he still can't go to Houston because Houston doesn't have enough cap space to get him on their own. They would need Philadelphia to facilitate a deal but if you're Philadelphia, you might want him to leave because guess what, I might get Clint Capela & Eric Gordon in return and two able bodies are better than one when I have Ben Simmons & Joel Embiid and have potential to keep Tobias Harris in play.

Wow, that's a whole lot of flapping of gums without actually saying anything. Although, I suppose that's just called the SAS Special.
