Yeah. With you 100% on this. Not sure how the new red and white ones are considered "fresh" -- they're both immensely bland. The jerseys are all over the place in terms of piping, font weight and collar. The red on red was unique for sure, and cannot agree more that the checkered paneling was great -- if anything it was too subtle. Would've been a nice feature to carry over across the uniforms, and probably the best way to incorporate something "rocket" or space related without being too tacky. Of all the uniforms last year, the Chinese New Year one was the one that I heard most buzz over. THAT'S a fresh look and surprised they didn't go with the darker red and gold as the focus colors. These uniforms will just be redone yet again in six years.

...what? I'm complaining about a RETRO jersey with an advertisement on them. The brand Rokit didn't f*cking exist when that jersey existed, it shouldn't be on there. Period.
breathes side panels and shorts are so basic and boring. why did they ditch the gemini rocket motif and the dark red trim from the earned uniform? there's so much room to do something cool and unique, and the rockets come out with a basic and uninspiring design. its sad how much better concepts you find on the internet are. they didn't change the number font either?? still using the one they stole from the paul george pacers. it doesn't match the ROCKETS wordmark. it drives me crazy how fan requests fall on deaf ears. i feel like EVERYONE wants the return of some mustard to the primary uniforms, and the rockets put a black side panel on the red one... we look too much like portland and toronto. the throwback is awesome, but its one season, and its not permanent. /rant
Acting like you're the lawyer who oversaw the contract between the Rockets and Rokit. I'm sure an exception could be made for a jersey that's going to be worn 15 times for one season only.

We’re moving in the right direction. A total rebranding would be nice but I’ll take it. Our white jerseys have been the ugliest uni in the league ever since the day they were introduced.
Just like our team has looked just fine in the playoffs. I expect great not “just fine”. You call it whining, I call it not content w/ safe ****
