Mmm...what? Simmons is their PG, he's also useless off the ball, they aren't trading for a PG, let alone for Paul, lol

I haven’t been talking about a sign and trade scenario for Jimmy Butler. The scenario I described would be moving both Gordon and Paul to teams with available cap space for nothing other than draft picks. That means the Rockets would be operating under the cap, and lose all exceptions other than the room exception worth $4.449M (Thanks for the clarification @Vivi )

The Rockets can complete a sign and trade for Butler by just giving up Gordon and filler contracts to match. There’s no reason to give up CP3 for nothing in a sign and trade.

Thanks for the clarification. The room exception is around $4.5M.

I loooooooove CP3..... but that damn contract. What teams , other than the Lakers, can actually absorb his contract and want him?? Wanting him being the important part.

I hope you are right Houston Brotha... We don’t need any more competition for Jimmy Butler then we already have!

This franchise is becoming a joke. Say one thing from GM mouth do another, good luck getting superstars to come here and stay alongside Harden and Morey

Fertitta needs to learn to shut his mouth. He tells everyone in town his teams business.

So LeBron can not move off ball and dominate possessions?

CP3-Harden-Butler-Tucker sure as hell are good enough to win a title.

How can they get to $32MM with just Gordon as the only big contract?

All that would happen in LA is LeBron would dominate time of possession and LeBron would stand at the three point line.... Paul would complain eventually.

    Butler makes 19.8 million.

Gordon and Nene get the Rockets almost to that number. I am sure draft picks would be going to Philadelphia in that scenario.

And you're not taking a step in that direction until you get that contract off the books.
