Really? The Shipley’s glazed donut is absolute perfection. Especially warm. Never had another glazed donut come close. The rest of the donuts there are not too different than most other places however. Was in Denver two weeks ago and saw the Shipley's storefront.
Interesting name so I Googled it to see what it was. Went to their website. I saw a credit card to save .10 cents a gallon on gas, a recipe for some Queso dip, an award for cleanest bathrooms for one of their locations in 2012, something about car washes, world famous beaver nuggets for sale. This awesome image And a ringing endorsement from JVG. I’m so lost.
Hot Take: Whataburger has gone down hill and is quickly going the way of McDonald's. They have always been slow, but it was worth it because the burgers were delicious. More and more locations are dirty and employed by lazy jerks who have absolutely no desire to exercise any form of customer service. Stale bread has been a common occurrence at the Whataburger near me in Austin. I used to eat there 3x a week in my fatter days. I want to be a franchise owner. I'd run the best Whataburger in the state. We'd have Chick-Fil-A service w. Buc-ee's type restrooms.
If they could have employee's like Chic Fil A, it would definitely make a difference. They're definitely slow. I worked there in high school, so I have a soft spot for them though.
Whataburger soldout its own people Capone Gangster Value Menu incoming. All restaurants will feature ceiling fans which will be kept on "high", so it will be windy.
I mean I still rate them over every other fast food burger joint. I've just seen them at their best and so naturally expect that to continue. It's a franchise by franchise thing though. The Whataburger near my parents home in Mo City is super-clean, always friendly, relatively fast, etc. They even know my parents and immediately start cooking my dad's special order when they walk inside. He knows all the employees' names and such.
ya its kinda of a dice roll of now, Give me the service of chik-fila and in and out all day over the inconsistency of basically every single fast food joint including whataburger
My wife works at a company that was part of this deal. She was trying to explain to them how to pronounce Whataburger. They couldn't understand, so she gave up.
I live in Chicago. They will *** up Whataburger. They will start selling Pepsi products.... they will have sesame seeds on the bun.... sell it covered in catsup and mayo..... then change the fries and open a pasta bar in it. Everything in Chicago is the god damn same......... no I don't want a "pasta bowl" and no I don't want an uncut pickle spear shoved on my burger.... cut it like civilized folks and NO Chicago steak isn't the best and a baked potato isn't just a potato rolled in sea salt sitting cold and lonely on the plate. God damn cultureless heathens.
I just want to go to White Castle without going to the wall greens freezer section, is that too much to ask?
Texas did have Krystal Burger for a little while, and I thought they were better than WC, but they seem to have left this market now.
