i think mark just set the record for slowest reaction time in nba history. nash moved from about the 3 point line to 10 feet away before jackson even budged. amazing.

and why is yao sitting on the bench thanks to 3 offensive fouls? he gets bad enough calls w/o calling flops. geez.

If we lose this game, we just waste a great start. JJ is playing well.

JVG needs to get some blame. He has 3 days to come up with strategy to attack the worst zone in the leauge and he failed badly.

Maybe this is not the worst zone since it works against the Rockets anyway.:)

The Mavs don't have a PG on the floor right now and yet they still beat the rockets w/ their passing how sad.

Also why the hell JVG rest Steve and Yao so early after they're up by double digits. Man, if you're up by that much and knowing ur opponents are down and tumbling (shooting .15%), you want to put a dagger down their throat and make sure they ain't coming up again. Well, JVG surely didn't do that...he rested Yao and Francis and what happened? Yea, he gives the Mavs some lives. This is exactly what happend in the Portland game couple months ago, when the Rox were playing well and JVG chose to sit Yao down and then Portland gets things going after Yao is sitted. Even a Portland player said he was glad JVG sit Yao cuz he was the reason they're struggling.

So my point, JVG should not have sit the players that are playing well and let them demoralize the other team until it is time to sit them. Don't shift momemtum when you got it again...that's just bad coaching in my opinion.

Sometimes, I wish the Rockets did trade Francis after the season.

That way we can see how much of a failure Yao can be on his own.

There is nothing more frustrating than seeing post after post of nothing but gaurd bashing during losing games and after losses.

Accountability: It's not just on one person.

no it's the team not coach, the rockets are dumbest, stubborn team in the NBA. they never ever freakin learn....it's the same thing every single time they play the mavs...they think they can hang with the mav's scoring style instead of playing there own style they always freakin get blown out in the second half....every singe time the play...it's just hopeless....unless francis has the green light to run his own show he become a offensive liability....i can't wait till we get rid of his selfish sorry ass...

Once again the zone defense illustrates that the Rocket shooters' proficiency especially from Steve Francis and Mark Jackson is just pure garbage. Zone defense allows one weakness on the perimeter to be a flaw that collapses the entire offense.

We played the Rockets ball in the 1st quarter, we won by 14.

The 2rd quarter we decided to play Dallas ball and got beat by 10.

We stuck to the Dallas ball in the 3rdf quarter, and got beat by 16.

We will never beat Dallas in a best of 7 series if we are determined to run and gun with Dallas.

The Mavs give up big leads just as quickly as they make up big deficits so there's still hope, but judging from recent history, it's shaping up to be like every other game the Rockets have encountered against the Mavs as of late. I wanted to say "idiots" so many times in the 3rd but refrained from saying it since my baby niece was around.

Yep. I actually posted a thread about this a month ago I believe.

Van Gundy's rotation is absolutely miserable when he rests both Steve and Yao at the same time. It just absolutely kills the team.

Don Nelson is smart. He saw Yao was getting off in the 1st quarter, so he sent in doubling defenders before Yao gets the ball. Look at where Jamison and Dirk were standing when Yao was trying to get position in the post.

I totally agree. Yao wasn't tired , he wasn't in foul trouble and he was playing well. When he took Yao then Steve out the whole complexion of the game change to Dallas favor.

Only Yao can pass the ball, how can we win?

Steve sat with 2 fouls. Yao sat at the same time as he normally does... and the Rockets maintained a 14 point lead after he left.
