I would love Bev back on this team...as the starting point guard. Harden/Bev to start and Paul/Gordon run the second unit. That’s better alignment

There is no overpaying Pat Bev. You cannot overpay a Rockets legend max player.

Rather have Rivers. But I suspect we won’t end up with either. No money.

Bev is the kind of player you add after you make your big move(s).

This same group + Bev is good enough to win 50 games or so, but still not good enough to beat GS.

In the meantime, find a cheaper version.

Seems like he's hurt a lot. Love Bev but have to pass on him.

I agree. His style has always been aggressive and that can cause injuries. Really missed him that 2015 postseason.

Beverley would be a great addition, but as a true 3-and-D guy, he'll command at least the full MLE.

You know this group won more than 50, despite a lesser group starting the season out 11-14?

This team wins 60 if we have Bev to play when CP3 is out. But yeah still not good enough to beat GS, TOR, MIL.

Appreciate the report @cyberx. I don't doubt the Rockets would love to see Beverley back. But it feels like a luxury at this point. Beverley is going to be ok as a backup here? Rockets likely would have to use their T-MLE on him. But the NEED is tall/athletic players in the front court. Also, do the Rockets see Beverley as a better fit than Austin Rivers for that matter?

I love Beverley a ton. But if I had a choice on Beverley or JaMychal Green with the T-MLE, I would take Green.

Morey is only saying that so Rivers lowers his asking price for next season. Bev and Rivers are equal parts (+/-).

Bev isn't going to give us a discount. If LAC overpays Bev, then the market is set for Rivers. We set a price with Bev, we set the market for Bev, that translates to setting the market price for Rivers.

I hope it works that way and our "interest" in Bev is only to save more MLE.

Rivers is essential for us to contend for the title, even if he is shipped mid-season for a bigger fish. His contract helps in a trade to keep our core intact.
