    Love that pick.

    Roster needs going into tomorrow:
    Tri-City: corner bats, pitchers
    GCL: Extra pitchers

I doubt that they'll have to go way over slot for Barber.

Does this mean Garrett Stubbs will be playing in Korea in 3 years?

The draft pick I like the best is Luis Guerrero.

I like him better than all the outfielders we drafted ahead of him.

He is a top 100 prospect in this draft IMO.

I have seen almost nothing about him. Looks like he could be a good all around player; plus arm, plus speed, average power with potential for more. Can he hit and take walks?

What do you like so much?

The Astros will develop C.J. Stubbs as a P.

From what I've read Brewer is really talented too.

Guerrero dropped off this yr due to injury.

I always like when a guys manager comes out and says this guys a steal. He knows Guerrero better than anybody. Appears to be a special type talent.

I like what they did 2nd day, with battenfield being the headscratcher. A sinkerball specialist who isn't a senior sign seems like an odd fit for a team that emphasizes 4-seamers, but I'm sure they see something in him. Notably, all 7 position players seem likely to at least start as up the middle players, and the Astros haven't selected a player who is limited defensively, but hits the ball super hard like they've done in the past (Beer, Adams, Matijevic, Reed, Davis). I'd expect today will be heavy on arms, especially small school, converted relievers, or guys coming off bad years. It feels like TC could use another OF and a 1B. I'm holding out hope that they saved enough to grab a couple medium bonus HS hitters, but that's hard to get a read on.

There's also some redraft potential in Trei Cruz, JC Correa, and Lyle Lin. The Astros last 2 40th round picks are on the same JC team in Nathan Duarte and Chase Farrell, who would be eligible as well.
