    I had forgotten all about this gem of a thread, but looking back, it is truly amazing how prescient I was. This thread and my original groundbreaking 2010 essay both aged like fine wine. Almost a decade later, Morey and the Rockets have accomplished little of note, with contract debacle after contract debacle and most seasons having poor team chemistry. We had on year where everything went great, until it didn't, because Morey the Moron mortgaged our cap and our future to trade for a broken down point guard who failed to finish the playoffs. I would write more, but there is little to say that I have not already said. All of my decade-old criticisms and analysis apply today with equal force if the player names are changed. JCDenton, the one true statistical genius of Clutchfans always stays Ahead of the Curve, and I take satisfaction in knowing that my scholarship will exist for all eternity to enlighten the new generation of posters, like "BigBum."

    Lol truly groundbreaking. I was not shocked at all when I saw your piece in BR, ESPN, MIT stats conference agenda, Journal of Statistical Sciences, etc.

    Oh wait, no they weren’t bc you are not accounting for all his decisions. You’re cherry picking what you think was an unfortunate decision to segue into a qualitative analysis piece. Not quantitative, mind you.

    Also, if you were so good, why are you not running your own team or seeing your direct reports being poached by teams around the NBA? Because you’re suffering confirmation bias. Confirmation bias made up of one instance of a “poor” decision without any consideration for what actually was offered to take advantage of a “cheap, expiring Parsons contract.”
