D) Morey/Rockets want to stay in the spotlight as the Finals start. First the coaching dismissals and now this

 

Lol at CP3 if he's pissed. He knows he's worth barely half of his salary right now. I would be surprised if his self-awareness is that poor.

I'm sure they've even discussed that if CP3's play falls off, they'd have to consider a trade because of how much his salary kills the team's flexibility.

Westbrook Schroeder- 53 mil!

I wouldn't take any of those other combos over ours. It's not our money. We knew it would take this much. Stop worrying about money. If cp3 plays better, good.

Morey is ALWAYS looking to upgrade. I don't see the big deal. I don't see how trading CP3 makes us better next year.

 

So many complaints about Harden. Sure, I hate watching him masturbate a basketball, but he had to go to that mode when it was necessary to put the team on his back during the long absences of other players during the regular season. It was either tough to get him out of that mindset or no one tried.

And CP3 was a little late to the party, complaining in Game 6 after spending the first 5 games on a milk carton. With Capela on the other cartons.

I don't think we will get them until the week leading into the draft. The only thing we should hear about in the next week or two is on MDA and whether he is getting an extension.

 

Man, that WOJ/Rockets report lead off Around The Horn, PTI and SportsCenter yesterday. If Morey wanted to get the league's attention that the Rockets are *open for business* he sure got it.

Gives GMS a full month to consider the Rockets players in trade scenarios, 3-team trades or fall back options.

 

The draft is in 21 days. That's kind of crazy.

 

I'm baffled by the number of people here who think that dumping MDA, Morey, CP3 and Harden will somehow make us a more competitive team.

We were the 2nd best team in the league last year and top 4 this year. I get how frustrating it is not being able to beat a team full of All-Stars, but imagine the fun of watching our Kyle Kuzma/Jaylen Brown-led team struggle to make the playoffs, then settle for a #15 draft pick. Wheeeee!

Some people just want change for the sake of change.

 

Kuzma, Ingram and Brown represent something this team is missing. Players who could potentially carry the burden as Harden gets into his mid 30s.

We need to get younger and hope some of the players we get turn into something right away while re-tooling around Harden.

 

Seriously. Seems like there's a bunch of people here that don't remember how tormenting it was to be stuck in that cycle of mediocrity.

 

Lol this makes no sense. Why would you include Tucker with CP3 and then compare it to other randomly selected “combos?”

Cp3 is quite possibly a bottom 5 contract in the league right now. None of the individual players on your list even comes close to the albatross that we gave Paul.

 

cf's complain's about surrounding harden with limited role players. then they advocate for more of them. cool

People are bored and do want change for change sake. Rockets are really right there guys. Just some important changes at the margins.

They need to get 1 more impact high ceiling guy to pair with Harden with CP3 being the *third guy.* And then hit home runs on 2 or 3 key role players. 1 of which might be via T-MLE and two others via Vet Min or trade.
