I would be shocked if Osuna or Pressley pitched tonight, would be three days in a row and 5 appearances in 6 days. Even that fancy chart will say no tonight

I'd throw in James (120 pitches in a 7 day period), and Rondon as well. Sometimes a team wins so many games that it has to suck it up and pitch their 6, 7, and/or 8th options in the pen.

I'd say last nights was an uglier line up card. This ain't pretty but it's better.

Reddick is back in the lineup. He's been slumping lately, but hopefully he snaps out of it. Chirinos for Stubbs is a lateral move, but I personally prefer Stubbs (even though it's very early). Not a fan of Brantley at DH at all, despite the "he hits better as a DH" argument that has not been the case as of late.

I prefer Reddick and Chirinos to Mayfield and Stubbs but that's just my opinion.

    Reddick>Mayfield
    Miley>Martin

    But also

    Stubbs>Chirinos
    Brantley at LF>Brantley DH'ing

So a wash for me. Anyway, time for the sweep!

I just have a lot of faith in Stubbs. Also, his numbers have dropped from April to May. Not a hater, just a big believer in Stubbs. He reminds me of a better-hitting version of Ausmus. Good ol' Ausmus.

how is chirinos for stubbs a "lateral move"??? chirinos has been fantastic for us... what else are you expecting from him that a rookie catcher who isn't all that heralded and has exactly one MLB start under his belt has already equaled what chirinos has done?

    you wildin' dude.

U have faith in Stubbs over Chirinos after 1 game? How’s that working out with Martin after 1 game. I remember seeing someone penciled Martin in as a 3rd or 4th starter for the playoff this year.

What are you basing Stubbs being better than Chirinos on? How does Stubbs handle a major league pitching staff for instance? Plus, Hilton or has an .840 OPS.

I don't know man, I'd be gobsmacked if either Pressly or Osuna pitches, absent some sort of whacky extra long game. Even then I wouldn't be surprised if they just decided they were more interested in punting than winning.
