Even without KD and Cousins, quality, depth and experience favors GSW on paper

Guards: Curry, Klay (Livingston, Cook) vs Lowry, Green (van vleet, Powell, Linsanity?)
SF: Iggy (Mckinnie) vs Kawhi (Anunoby?)
PF: Green (Bell, Jerebko) vs Siakam
C: Looney (Jones, Bogut) vs Gasol (Ibaka)

I am looking forward to Iggy defending Kawhi and (hopefully) Kawhi on KD.

(Interesting sidenote is Patrick McCaw of the Raptors, who used to play for GSW but left under weird circumstances.)

you might as well hand over your Rockets fan card if you ever think about rooting for Golden State Warriors

Warriors sweep unless Durant comes back. He honestly makes them slower and more inefficient. I think Morey caught that. If KD leaves, Morey will look at switching the talent, because the Warriors work much more smoothly without him.

KD's rings are jewelery. He didn't earn them.

Last I checked Oakland is in USA.

Toronto? Not so much, despite trying as hard as they do.

Two teams that actually have an offensive system based on movement and actually utilize the two point jumper.

    Where are Morey analytics?

This series is going to be very competitive because Toronto has a versatile roster that matches up very well with the Warriors. Nick Nurse can use a lineup of Lowry-Green-Kawhi-Siakam-Ibaka against Golden State’s small lineup. The Raptors also have the best player in the world right now, the better bench, and home court advantage. Even when Durant and Cousins return, the Raptors have a roster that can match up with Golden State’s, and that’s saying a lot. For example, let’s say the Warriors eventually do roll out a lineup of Curry-Thompson-Durant-Green-Cousins. The Raptors can counter with Lowry-Green-Kawhi-Siakam-Gasol. It’s obviously not as good as the Warriors’ lineup, but it’s a group that defends well and can score. When the Warriors use Iguodala instead of Cousins, Ibaka replaces Gasol.

Portland didn’t play any defense and has no clue how to hold leads (they actually led more minutes than the Warriors in that series). Toronto has a lot of good wing defenders with length, a stretch 5 in Ibaka, and beat two elite teams in the Bucks and Sixers to get here. This will not be a cakewalk for the Warriors.

Toronto is a more diverse and international city......Calgary is like a typical Canadian city for instance.

Props to Toronto for making history.
