I don't see any reason why we can't win championships if we improve our coaching and rosters this offseason.
Hey guys our rosters will be better after the offseason moves? What are your rosters in October?

A, It is certain that we want to use tax MLE to sign a starting defensive PF/C. (defend Gianna, Nikola Mirotic, Ersan İlyasova, Brook Lopez)
    B. Sign a free agent to replace Ariza.
    C. Sign a free agent to replace Rivers.

Tucker is 6-6 small forward with an undeniable defense.

We have multiple rosters now? Man, I took a break from the NBA for one week... and BANG, we now have more than one roster.

It's a 50/50 proposition. Most likely Houston will not acquire a major free agent. (ala - Anthony Davis or someone like that.)
Houston needs to find another Eric Gordon type that can carry some of the scoring load when James is off or out of the lineup.
Since Tilman has told Daryl he can go into the luxary tax, if we can sign one or two guys like an Aminu, Brogdon, Oubre, Jeff Green to have on the floor when Chris is running the offense would be a pretty solid off season.

Maybe our g league roster will be better. We will probably leave hartenstein and Clark down there .... MDA says they aren't ready

I think the roster will look vastly different from opening night to the trade deadline.

We're not getting a major piece in free agency , just don't have the cap space , contracts to absorb salary nor assets teams want.

We'll likely lose Rivers and House.. There is the possibility Faried sticks around ….

Then you have the $5.7m MLE …. probably used on the best wing they can get at that price point.

Green likely resigns - you have early Bird on him and can potentially use him as an asset in a midseason trade if with a salary up to $9.6m.

Shumpert …. should be gone based upon play BUT you have his bird rights and can sign him for about $12m creating an expiring contract to be flipped after December 15. Don't know if they will do that with Shumpert or Green but they are both possibilities.

Anything else they do is minimum deals. Doubtful they are better out of the gate than they are currently - What really matters is how much they improve the roster between now and playoff time next year.

Does not matter. They dig themselves a hole, they dig themselves out of it. Rinse repeat.

    *Has another lousy offseason*
Morey: We want our best roster in April, not in July. The roster we have now will not be the same in April. Tilfart said he'll do whatever it takes.

According to Morey’s analytics, one roster isn’t enough to beat the Warriors.

after nothing of note happens at the trade deadline...

“We expect to be players in the buyout market, guys want to come play here. We’ll be aggressive.”

They pretty much always tell the whole story unless you don’t understand how to interpret them.

so how do stats tell the entire story of a possession where the best defense is being played but a shot was still made. how is the defense being measured truly and offense as well

    Thank you...

They need to understand the actual game of basketball and not the PS4 basketball.
