Milw take on Rox' P/O chances http://www.startribune.com/stories/511/4380267.html Houston Record: 30-22 Games left, home/road: 16/14 Foes over .500: 16 Foes from East: 6 Key player: Steve Francis Outlook: Coach Jeff Van Gundy must have loved watching Francis getting set up for an alley-oop dunk by Yao Ming in the All-Star Game; imagine Francis convincing the big fella that it's supposed to go that way -- Yao passing to him -- all the time. Francis and his backcourt buddy, Cuttino Mobley, still feel compelled to get theirs, the way Stephon Marbury used to, and it does nothing for the Rockets' playoff prospects.
hmmm... maybe everybody is supposed to get theirs... like the laker game. not necessarily yao, sf, and cat scoring above 20, but maybe at least two of them and perhaps a third (doesn't have to be cat, yao or sf) stepping up to the plate on any given night... like in the championship days.
Um, in the inside-out game isn't the big man supposed to find the shooter, or cutter, when he is doubled?
Exactly but FIRST the Guards must quickly and crisply pass the ball INTO Yao Ming for him to make the decission. As the Guards are such poor passers this doesnt occur very often.
I thought the addition of Mark Jackson would quiet this myth but. We can all agree that Mark is a good passer correct? Well, if all Yao needed was a good passer to become dominant, then in the 15 minute or so a game that Mark Jackson is in the game, Yao should just go nuts considering he finally has the pass first, sweet passing point guard that everyone says will vault him over the top. Actually, with Mark Jackson in the game, we get pretty much more of the same from Yao which leads me to believe it may actually be his mindset more than it is the inability of the guards to get him the ball.
Milwauee, Minnesota. Both are way north, wayway cold, right? So, what's the difference? Thanks for the correction. Minny is the one in our division, the other is a darling because of their record while playing in the Least.
