if anyone out there can help.... to settle a bet with someone. i know hakeem is in the top ten all-time in blocks and rebounds, but where does he stand in terms of points and steals? how close is he to getting in these top tens... by the way if you could include the website that would have alltime records (updated with 2000-2001 stats) it would be nice.... thanks. ------------------
At insidehoops.com in the nba stats section they have all time stats. Anyways on their site they have Dream listed 17th all time under points and 6th all time under steals. Interesting enough Shaq is 3rd in points all time. ------------------ Fear the Spear [This message has been edited by Goldberg (edited May 11, 2001).]

Goldberg is mistaken. Shaq is 3rd in points per game. He is not even on the list of all time scorers. Hakeem is 10th in all time scoring with 25,822 points. http://insidehoops.com/nba_alltime_stats_leaders_points.shtml He is 6th all time in Steals http://insidehoops.com/nba_alltime_stats_leaders_steals.shtml He is first all-time in oppistion Center ass-whoopings. ------------------
(I'm using totals here, not per game or whatever. Shaq is NOT 3rd all time in points, but PPG. Anyways here is way Hakeem stands, not including this season.) Points: 10th Rebounds: 11th Assists: Not listed Steals: 6th (Only Center in top 30 steals IIRC) Blocks: 1st (by a pretty big margin) Lord Tree ------------------ Who is Lain?
Hmm... Hakeem looks like he can go into the top 5 next year in points. ------------------ NBA Draft Lottery is May 20th. Start praying now.
Just 900 more. He would have to average about 12 points per game over 82 games, and he would pass Moses Malone. That would be sweet. ------------------ The Protrolls.com message boards! Protrolls.com! Don't visit my site.
We better resign Hakeem, I don't want to see him pass any milestones while wearing another team's jersey... Pippen's probably going to pass Dream in steals next season. ------------------ All work and no play makes Band Geek Mobster a dull boy. All work and no play makes Band Geek Mobster a dull boy. Don't be so sure about that. The way Pippen has been playing the past two years Dream could still stay ahead of him. ------------------ ``We need to FOCASS".... Akeem Olajuwon
I still think that outside of Houston and Portland, Clyde Drexler is one of the most underrated players ever. I actually remember a sportswriter back a few years ago saying that when he voted for his top 50 of all time that CLyde was #50 on his list. (Of Course that list is a joke since 'Nique didn't even make the top 50) If he played the way he played and there wasnt a guy named Michael Jordan in Chicago, then Clyde would have been all the fans would have talked about. Out of ALL the greats that played in the NBA, the only six guys on the top 20 of those lists are: Clyde Drexler Michael Jordan Hakeem Olajuwon Karl Malone Charles Barkley Larry Bird Pretty nice company!
He only needs to pick up 8 steals on Dream this next season. This season Pippen had 94 steals and Dream had 70, so even if Pippen just repeats what he did this horrible season, he'll pass Dream. I don't want to sound like a Pippen hater because I really don't care about him, I'm just mad Dream's probably going to drop down a spot on the all-time steals list... ------------------ You must always give the Dream back his change!
Pippen had 94 in how many games, and Hakeem had 70 in how many games? I think Hakeem will maintain what he did in the second half of the season, and Pippen will go down from this season.. Hakeem might maintain it after all.... [This message has been edited by Sane (edited May 12, 2001).]
Pippen had 94 steals in 64 games. Hakeem had 70 steals in 58 games. Not much of a difference in game totals... ------------------ You must always give the Dream back his change!
