Green on PJ to get Durant so WIDE open. man, do we even warn the refs at the end of the game to look for this
I saw that happen and loved how Barkley's post game questioned how Durant got so wide open. If he saw the play away from the ball, he'd see why.
In the L2M report, they actually reviewed that play as a potential defensive foul committed by Tucker against Draymond. They concluded it was a correct no call. https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport.html?gameId=0041800224 I don’t see how that could possibly be seen as a Tucker foul. Another thing in the report is Harden was found to have committed an offensive foul on his follow through against Klay. It looked like marginal contact to me. Could be a point of emphasis next game for the refs. Harden needs to be careful not to swing that left arm to the side and hit the defender.
Agreed. Durant already got separation with a push off or shake on PJ and you don't need to guard the Draymond slip. Just breakdowns all around.
My god, they screen with the hands and not with the body anymore. Look at donkey, holy crap. this is how they have been winning games. Sucking the refs the night before and doing this kind of crap. Hard to win when you play against them.
Durant with a running shove on Tucker lol We got lucky man, but the team earned it with their effort.
I remember seeing this live and being irate. If he would have made that shot, idda been furious, but since he missed I washed it under the bridge. What's funny is, after watching the replay, what's even more impactful from draymond is the shove he gives rivers. It effectively prevents the scramble switch to be anywhere near close. That's 2 offensive fouls on one screen... Astonishing.
i think if tucker or capela does this for harden on a final minute play -- greater than 50% odds it gets called
These last two minutes reports started out genuine, but they've evolved to become little more than propaganda. Draymond sets a moving pick on Tuck and because Tuck was fighting through it, it's a potential foul on him? Moving screens by Draymond are now so standard that the refs don't even acknowledge their existence
How did Stockton get so open in 1997? I know one guy who doesn't know. Clyde you got him right...clyde? Oh shiii...
I just looked through the last two minutes report for the game. You can find it here: https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport.html?gameId=0041800224 All this action occurs at 11.1 seconds left. There are four entries. All are considered CNC (Correct No Calls). Not only is there no entry about this with respect to an infraction by Green, there is actually an entry saying it was a CNC with Tucker having his hands around Green in that exact moment.
Seriously I know Barkley ain’t getting paid for his insights and analysis but how can a dude that played and is a hall of gamer be so clueless. Maybe it’s part of his schtick to appear dumber than he looks?
