    Travelling there for a week.

    Any been there? appreciate any suggestions on food places to go and fun stuff to do.

    It's the closest cleanest emerald green beach to Houston. It gives Destin a run for it's money. I believe they also have casinos

    greater Gulf Shores area. White sands, crystal clear water, and confederate flags at every gift shop. Head to Florabama bar to be drunken in both states.

    Never been, but I imagine there's plenty color present.

    Sucks Houston got the lesser side of the Mississippi.

    I've been, it's pretty amazing, closer than Destin, not as crowded or expensive and I plan on going again this summer. You don't typically think of Alabama and nice water, but I would highly recommend it. I don't remember the food places but ate at a BBQ place (looked like a shack) that was pretty good, and also had sushi which was good too.
