Are you talking about the guys from "The Blitz" show? If so, they show is really boring and lame. Their takes are the absolute worst and would act like their **** don't stink. I tried giving them a listen a few years back and haven't listened since. Joel Blank is also horrible. I think his show is the show before The Blitz, but he used to bash the Rockets when i would listen due to his bitterness after they fired him. He would always talk about how they did McHale wrong, blah blah....he was just absolute trash. Morning time from John and Lance through Charlie Pallilo mid noon/early afternoon are best on that station, although I rarely listen since my radio never gets a good signal for 97.5 FM and the App constantly crashes on me.
This is me to a T. I used to listen to those dudes all of the time after work. They lost me around the Trump election, the constant bashing of the Rockets, and the douchey way they treat callers.
I'm with you. The Blitz guys are just negative middle aged divorces who hate their lot in life. Sad individuals really who drink too much and wish they worked in Dallas I think. But you gotta listen to the A-Team on 790. Adam Clanton is the biggest Rockets homer out there. Now that Josh Innes is gone I feel good listening to 790 again. And you gotta love Matt Thomas.

I actually like Fred and AJ. They Mix it up and definitely don’t stick to sports. Like for instance on Monday, one day after game 1, literally half the show was spent talking about game of Thrones. They spend a lot of their show talking about Game of Thrones, movies, smoking weed, gambling, beer, etc. They take pride in barely talking about sports on certain days. It’s not for everyone obviously. However, they have been the top show in Houston for over a year, and the station is number 1 so I doubt they will change. Now if you are a diehard Rockets fan, you might not like them. AJ has made it known he likes the Warriors. Fred has made it known he would rather have the Toronto Maple Leafs succeed than the Rockets. Remember that crazy game at Golden state that Harden won in January? The next day, they talked about movies for the entire first hour, then someone called and complained about them not talking sports, so they spent the whole show never even mentioning the game. And yet, they remain the top rated sports talk show in Houston so just keep in mind they are not Rockets homer and they spend maybe half their show talking about sports. I enjoy the show because it’s different but it’s certainly not for everyone.
Your way off on this. The Rockets have a die hard fan base in this city. The radio personalities in H-Town all have close ties to football. There are hardly any true basketball guys on the air for any of the sports stations. I think this is a huge reason we don't get any decent basketball talk on the radio. Most of the guys on the radio struggle with basic basketball strategy. I can't tell you how many times I heard football guys say this week "why doesn't Faried get to play more". If they would of paid attention to him on defense, it would be easy to see why he isn't playing. Even my favorite guys John and Lance don't really have a good grasp of this team or the league at this moment. I don't think them or the majority of the football background radio personalities watch the Rockets in depth like many of the posters here do. Hopefully, we eventually get some good basketball guys on the air here. I think it will help show that this city has a lot of love for the Rockets.
I had been listening on and off. I started to really listen to them more and more. I really liked some of their gambling takes. I had no idea about their hate of the Rockets. I think there is a decent amount of people that just caught on to their hate of the Rockets. One the other shows on 97.5 mentioned on that this was the most hate that the Blitz has ever received on social media after 1 show. You got guys calling sponsors to pull their ads now. I don't think that type of stuff was happening before. It seems they had a decent amount of people stop listening this week. It will be interesting to see how the ratings go over the next few weeks in that time slot.
I said something to AJ about it earlier in the week on Twitter and he responded very respectfully. They are very negative and it gets old quickly. I used to really enjoy their show. I listen to John and Lance in the morning, John and Raheel until lunch. The Legend CP afterwards. Barry and Joel (even though Joel drives me nuts) until Adam & Adam come on 790.
No one cares about media hate. Obviously winning the championship would be a million times better ESPECIALLY with the way the media is treating Houston. But let’s be serious here do we really think rockets are coming back from this?
To be fair, it’s really only The Blitz that don’t like the current rockets. Lance, John, and Raheel all like the rockets, however have stated that they don’t like the style of play and complaining.
If anyone doesn’t like Fred and AJ, then Clanton is your guy. He’s about as big a Rockets homer as there is in this town and he hates GSW and takes shots at Oakland as a city.
