Fairweather fans were so scared of picking up a big man at the deadline instead of mediocre SF #132.... Shumpert. Marc Gasol is another starter for a team that will be in the ECF, possibly the finals. Paul is past it and should have taken a paycut - no one was paying him max money. Everything I said would happen, happened. Time to eat crow and admit the team needed to diversify ..
The Warriors are not even playing Bogut. If you don't understand what that means strategically, you are making yourself look like a fool here.
Are u stupid? We had no shot at Marc Gasol, so why bring him up? Kanter got bought out. idiots trying to serve crow...hilarious
Hace you not seen any Blazers Basketball? Dude is playable because there is a whole scheme centered on their center being slow. Ours is about guards being slow. How could a slow center thrive on our sistem? Have you not seen Nene minutes in this series? This is not 2k guys, you are not watching the series! We can only beat the Warriors with superior basketball, no gimmicks can work against all that talent
Would be great to force Igudala to guard him This isn't about big man on big man , it's about creating mismatches (playoffs)
If you are comparing Nene to Kanter, basketball is not for you. You can run and gun and shoot three's up until a certain point, but have to play mismatches to beat teams with more talent.
Are you sure he is dominating? Pretty sure I saw him get dominated by Jokic in game one to the tune of 37 9 6 3 2
you don't think the warriors would just force every switch onto him and then work him like how james use to do him on the thunder? billy d would just relent and take him out of the game because it was just bad.
Did we have a shot at Kanter? I don't recall. We did go after Markief Morris but he didn't want to come. So it's not we didn't want a big before the deadline, we just didn't find one that we could afford.
Yeah, but they are saying Kanter wouldn't fit in this series. He can't shoot and he doesn't defend that well on P&R. If we have a big like that, it also kinda clogs the lane for Harden. Before you mention Lillard, I think Blazers would be blown out by this Warriors team by double digits in every game.
Senator, you and I think alike and I originally posted we need Kanter or Jordan and got mocked. Ignore the naysayers as you may be the only person on this site that gets it and does not buy into all the fluff of how great our bench is. I am sure you agree that being on the cusp of being a legitimate threat to the Warriors and then making just one acquisition (Shumpert for a first rounder) at the deadline was not enough and that is where our hopes for a title truly ended. Teams like GS (Bogut), OKC (Morris) and Portland (Kanter) showed the desire to go for it all, while we were cost cutting and picking up other teams’ garbage. We will lose and deserve to lose this series due to our horrible bench.
