    From the Houston Chronicle Friday:

Rockets guard Cuttino Mobley, a participant in tonight's

3-point shooting contest, described the team's transition to Jeff Van Gundy as initially rocky but now much smoother.

"We butted heads at first," Mobley said. "First of all, Steve (Francis) and I came in with Rudy (Tomjanovich). We were with him for five years. He was a father figure. He had our back when we got in trouble, or the media killed us or fans killed us. But when Jeff came in, it was a process. But he's a great dude, a great dude. And he's one of the smartest people I ever met in my life. I know some smart people, but that guy, he knows his stuff, man."

Asked about the increased emphasis on Yao Ming, Mobley said, "Yao keeps getting better. He makes us better as a team, with his passing, inside out. When Steve and I came in we were dribbling the ball, scoring 30 and losing. It's better scoring 16 and winning."

I think Mobley should preach the same thing to Steve. We want to hear this from STeve and move on. If he can do this, we don't need to trade anyone.

I'd rather they play like this, than simply say it.

The new era begins. Cat passes to Yao.

Here, Yao. I can't dribble these.

Cat must give the Yao back his change.

Watch for the rain of 3's, Yao.

See, Yao, here we like melons in pairs. Shoo, old lady. This is private bidness.

See, this melon is the size of my "melon". So, sometimes I get distracted. Let's get croissants.

Translation: "Look, you can trade Steve, even if he's like my brother. But I got a nice house here, my mom, my kid, my little brother. Pleeeease keep me here. Love, Cat."

Hey! Cat does know Yao is on his team!

Btw, question: Who did Dream slap for not giving him his change? And what exactly did Dream say? I'm getting senile and rewrote that memory slot in my brain.

Francis always seems to say the right thing. Like when he was miked up and he was cheering Yao more than he ever does. I see Cuttino's words in his play, and you can't question his dedication to the game.

Hahaha these fans are unbelievable! One minute ya'll want Steve and Cat's head, the next minute ya'll love the hell outta the guy! I'm a diehard Rox fan and will always be, but we have to see the changes in their games first. I still think that either steve of Cuttino need to be broken up. I think we could get more for Steve. Cuttino is a steal.

No kidding. It really made my day when he turned down that LARGE contract from Toronto so he could stay and play for Houston for the smaller contract.

It WAS true that he SAID that...and hopefully it IS true that he THOUGHT like that 2.

and if he does so later on.

I'm not saying Yao is more important than any other of his teammates, but rather, EVERYONE in the team should keep in mind that there's only one team and no individual player has advantage over THE TEAM.

Yao did well with this regards and it's definitely not too much to require our other lovely players to do the same.

unless they are not in the same team.

    just my (bored)2(ru) cents.
