'nba' trolling now Sign and trade for the unibrow in the off season. We won't have to worry about shady refs.
I think this is a good thing - Foster was going to ref a game this series no matter what and the pressure is on to not screw the Rockets over tonight like it will never ever be ever again, as well as on him to prove the Rockets can actually win a game with him.
Either play dirty now or they play dirty against you. If you going to lose, bring them with you. Obviously we are not winning.
I don’t know why I keep hearing this. There is no accountability for the officials or the NBA. They’ll fix it however they want.
the League almost has to do this. they have to show that a game of this importance can be officiated fairly, and who best to demonstrate that than the one single ref who has been picked out of the lineup by the Rockets players as being the least fair ref of the bunch. It wouldn't surprise me if the League has given Foster some extra guidance on how to thread the needle between "showing fairness" on the one hand and "swinging the pendulum" back over to the Rockets on the other--which would simply illustrate the critics' view that the reffing is arbitrary and tainted. so let's all hope for the best and see what happens
Seriously.... Allright im bettin 100$ bucks on GSW tonight, when we win ill dont give a **** about it when we lose im gonna have sweetener
the countermove to wasting our players' time on this crap is to just sit out both CP3 and harden. CP3 has leg soreness and harden has a sprained wrist.
I think you're giving the NBA way too much credit. They're not going for irony here with the Rockets winning at Oracle in a Scott Foster-officiated game in order to prove there's no bias with the refs. They're basically telling the Rockets organization to bend over and take it. Now certainly the Rockets could win in spite of Foster. Maybe Harden has a historic shooting night and the rest of the team plays great. Maybe Curry and/or Klay reaggravate those ankle injuries. Anything can happen. But one thing that sure as sh-t won't happen is the Rockets stealing Game 2 with the assistance of Scott Foster's whistle.
NBA is petty and has done this to send a message. Hope the players just forget about this and play basketball, worried all the ref talk has become a distraction and they are focused on this instead of finding ways to get better offense.
Rockets went to the media. They released a report that empirically shows why they are mad. The NBA responds:
Of course they are. I said it was moronic to call out the NBA like this *during our series*, as there was zero chance they would respond well to it. And here we are...
Might not work to start the game, but if it is a clown show after 2, I'd sit them and Tucker out for the 2nd half just to show some sort of (non violent) resistance. Maybe the play is to make Beard and CP "questionable" for G2 and say "your move" to the NBA. Maybe Foster gets a case of *wink wink* food poisoning or something all of the sudden?!
