Fear not, Manyard. For after a whirlwind of touch and go bbs surfing, viewing games apart from chat , and Kansas like exhaustion. The Wakefields schedule returns to it's proper state. And now, Ricardo Rodriguez is out for justice, or some hardware.
Small problem. When you click on the name of the player you want to check out, it gives you a : The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try the following: If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. Heath hasn't updated profiles yet. Okay, instead of starting a new thread, I figure this is as good as any place to mention this information: 1) Heath is still having problems logging on to the BBS - it is not an ISP problem but more like he got a trojan that has banned him from certain sites. He is in the chat and told me that hopefully he can get this resolved on Monday. 2) Heath did say that he will start accepting email bids for free agents. Email him through the BBS your bid (he also said that he was going to fill the off-season trades, so that will change your money situation - I would just email bids and not worry about if you have the money or not IF you did an off-season trade). 3) After Heath gets back to posting on the BBS (hopefully on Monday or somewhat after), we can talk about having FA possibly next Saturday - but that will all be determined when he gets his problem fixed. 4) There are several players showing up in the free agent list that should have not been there. You can NOT place bids on the following players: Torrii Hunter Bobby Kielty Craig A Wilson Kyle Lohse Scott Stewart Armando Rios Omar Infante Alex Escobar Marcus Giles Horacio Ramirez Jesse Foppert Jose Molina Jorge Posada Bill Mueller Jim Edmonds Jon Rauch Tony Graffanino Joe Borchard Felipe Lopez Dave Kelton Chad Paronto Rich Garces Johnny Estrada Wilson Betemit Jung Bong 5) Finally, Heath wants everyone to look at their player's talent ratings on the nostalgia site and compare them to the old site to make sure everything was transferred correctly. We have identified a couple that did not transfer over properly. If you have a major leaguer or top prospect that is now good in homers but was brilliant in homers according to the old site, identify in this thread. Example of doing this: P Johan A Santana (right-handed one) - Traded from Cubs to Padres - should be brilliant, not good in avoiding hits
Player mistakes: Vernon Wells should be Good Good Average Rickey Hoban should be Good Average Good Joel Pineiro should be Good Brilliant Good Average Scott Sobkowiak should be Good Good Average Brilliant
What are the number ranges because the nostalgia site has # ratings while the old one uses words like "brilliant" "good" "average" etc. 6=brilliant?
Well, the nostalgia site still has the brilliant, good, average talent ratings but they are listed below the numerical ratings (Chuck had forgotten to turn on the numerical ratings - that is why all you could see was the talent ratings). If someone is a brilliant and only has a "6" numerically, then they are still "developing into their talent". An "8" is the lowest for a brilliant (and I think the highest for a good) while the highest can be over a "10".
Now that Blanco is GGG as opposed to AGA when I traded him I think a little extra compensation is in order.
Email Heath about it. Normally, if there is a player talent error that works in your favor, we don't change it back to the way it was. However, since that was a trade, it might be easier for Heath to adjust Blanco back to A-G-A.
