lol I never will use the ignore function.

I prefer our fan base to get factual info, not biased, mainly eye test based, emotional reaction that largely ignores the rest of the league when dissecting 1 team, our team, in particular.

I have zero problems when people have legit, fact based complaints and criticisms. So much of the complaints and criticisms you find around here have no basis in reality and are usually emotionally driven.

I find it interesting that the official reviews of the games sound like they are largely agreeing with our complaints on calls. That makes me wonder, is it the individual refs who are screwing us over under their own steam, rather than some league mandate to help alter the result.
If the league was driving this, wouldn't they back the ref's calls up in these reports, at least the grey area ones?

It's the League mandate. When they "agree with us" as you say, the LOSS for the rockets has already been recorded AND by agreeing with us they are simply perpetuating the "human error" BS that is used to hide the mandate......."there are so many things happening at once in real time, not slow motion, they're not gonna get everything right ". Blah blah fn blah blah.

It's league mandate but brothers and foster and maybe other goons....love screwing the Rockets bc of the ref's power trip

Great article. Basically, stating what most posters here have been saying since Game 6 of last year. Interesting that teams receive the 48 min officiating report. With media bias along with opposing team fans having a negative perception on Harden and the Rockets, I doubt this ends well for us. However, I don’t think Rockets have much of a choice either so it’s better now then never after Game 1 bias officiating.

I'd like to think their paper trail that Morey exposed has caught up with them, but I don't think that alone will make much difference. What it does do however is add more fuel to the fire on what is currently a hot topic in the media. I think there is generally enough attention on it now that they will at least make those landing space foul calls in Game 2.

    Perfectly timed leak by Morey!

Oh boy, as if people didn't hate us enough already. Expect to be labeled the whiniest team in the league.

i find it very suspicous that from the tipoff and consistently throughout the game, worriers players confidently knew all those undercutting fouls were not going to be called

just noticed this article was authored by sam amick. morey has really gone nuclear now and if the league office escalates further with fines, tilman could in theory have a very strong legal case against them. silver's own 48min reports will be his doom.

    My key takeaways:
    1. I'm actually really surprised that the NBA provides this kind of a report on every game. Assuming the reports are real, it's hard to believe the NBA hasn't done any of their own analysis, especially with this level of bias.
    2. Seems like much more outcry over the G1 officiating compared to last year. I don't remember officiating being discussed as a key topic last year. The narrative was generally more focused around Houston missing 27 3s. Definitely don't remember seeing this level of commentary from opposing teams.

you have to think that morey has also secured the 48min reports from other teams' GMs. for instance even last year's series GS vs NOP was rigged as well -- game 2 was horrendous.

If you watched the other playoff series in the first round, our players don’t get those fouls. Lou Williams was getting contact fouls on the offensive end while driving, while Harden has to get whacked hard to get calls. Curry, off the ball this game, fell down so many times and luckily didn’t get the call. Curry, Durant, and Green try to sell the fouls more than any team this year and usually get away with it and if they don’t get fouls, they are all up in the face of the ref screaming, mocking, and even touching.

Harden was fouled on that shot with no call, too.

    That's a good question.

I don't think this is a league-driven phenomenon. There is a more subtle, implicit bias at work here which is this. If you think one team is better than the other when playing the game the way its supposed to be played, you will tend to give them the benefit of the doubt on calls more often. Especially if you have a suspicion that the team you deem to be the lesser team is trying to fool you.

Referees are supposed to be trained not to do that, but it is human nature.

We need to be just like the Golden Boys and never complain about a call...

This isn't true. Harden go to the line at least a couple times in game 1 with questionable contact on his drives. Maybe they were makeup calls.
