Not at all. As I stated, I'd value her opinion as much as any one else's. She knows more than me about basketball, I'm sure. I think she just overcompensates for the fact that she IS a woman. I think her voice does grate on me, though.
She’s terrible. She kept talking about how all the rockets do is complain about calls. She even declared one call terrible and then saw the replay and redacted it
Doris played before there was a three-point line so she probably bristles at the three-centric style of Harden and the Rockets.
Isn’t that a good thing? She saw something that looked like a bad call in real time, then she cared enough to follow through and correct herself, saying that it was “absolutely the right call.” That’s not necessarily standard MO among color commentators. Many of them just continue on with their agenda, regardless of what is happening on the court, and they rarely correct themselves after making strong statements.
I wasn't listening to the ESPN feed last night so I have no idea if any of this is remotely justified but I've always loved her in the past. She generally does a really great job and is among the best in what she does. I will say that I have seen her referred to here by some very derogatory names reserved exclusively for women. I don't appreciate that. I'm looking forward to a time when you guys realize that it's totally fine to criticize a woman just as you would a man but there is zero need to bring their gender into the discussion. And you damn sure don't need to call them terrible words like "b****" or "w****". That should be about as offensive to us as if you called a gay person the f word a or a black person the n word. Just my two cents.
She’s ok, imho. Seems observant and objective enough. Sometimes sprinkles backstory in for context. Prefer JVG, still, though he seems bored and wanders off on tangents.
Yea I mean I didnt she said anything egregious. I was just wondering if maybe he heard something I didnt haha. I agree FWIW.
and PJ DID NOT kick that ball...they both agreed that was a horrible call. Overall she was mediocre to good last night and droned on too long a few times and Pasch just tries to continue the Harden narrative which is ignorant and obvious
Are you really attempting to say that word isn't gendered? Come on. I'd ask that you reconsider that behavior too.
It never stopped being a common term. That's the problem. All you need to do is look at the root of it to understand. I don't want to go full D&D here but I'm not being sensitive. It's obviously an offensive and sexist term.
As a person who loves to whine about media bias, after rewatching the full game, I have determined that some of you guys are overreacting. Doris was fine. Even Pasch, who I dislike, was fine.
As long as her view towards Giannis is similar, I have no problem. If it's not similar, shame on her.
