There's no need for us to do anything special with the Jazz as long as Favors is going to spot up at the 3- point line in their double big lineup. Last night's game was a total blow off for us because Utah did not take it to the rim with their bigs.

If they don't change that they'll be done in 4. If they do change that, then our defensive strategy will become more critical.

It's up to Utah to make offensive adjustments to make this a competitive series. Everybody's talking about their defense. But it's their offense where they have to start. Trying to shoot 3's with us when they have inferior shooters (Korver dinged) is stupid, especially when they have such a size advantage on the interior.

This thread was started because I suspected the Jazz were going to at least attempt to pound us down low since they are still using the double big lineup.

Let's see if the Jazz switch it up.

Who on the Jazz can even post up? They haven’t played that way all season and you expected them to just dump it inside? To who??? Not to mention James Harden is one of the best post defenders in the NBA.

You know why they didn't take it to the rim? Clint Capela was getting some nice blocks :D

Maybe the Jazz should hire you to coach them? You'd have them 2-0 right now...aM i RiTe?

LOL Clint was in BEAST mode. Gordon has clearly disrupted Mitchell. In two playoff games Mitchell has scored 30 points on 37 attempts. I suspect he'll play better at home but will it be enough? Crowder and Ingles 4/22 from 3 point range. So it is safe to say the Rockets easily know how to slow down the Jazz. I think we could have played Shumpert and Rivers 25 minutes each and still would have one by 20.

It brings me uncontrollable joy to say the Jazz are going to lose this series and maybe in horrific fashion if they don't get there confidence back.

True sometimes people are wrong about the Rockets
It’s been two massive beat downs
There’s no excuses you can make based on results
I understand that kids now want to believe they are always right
Somewhere in the parenting stage someone forgot to mention this lesson in life of we can be wrong and it’s ok to admit it

I didn't say post up. Nor do I think that is what the Jazz should do.

But to answer your question...their best post up option is Favors from the mid post.

Yeah. No. Clint is most vulnerable in compressed space with bigger bodies laying on him. The Jazz are outsmarting themselves here.

Clint dominates Gobert/Favors again in the playoffs on both ends.

Again gets zero credit for being a complete stud...

I am 51. Been playing and watching basketball since age 7. Have followed the NBA very closely since 1979. The problem with the younger generation is they weren't taught anything absolute and they've never learned anything about absolutes. So they have no spine. They hedge everything. And they don't like anybody that doesn't.

and your specific issue is for a 51 year old is the game has passed you by and you still haven't caught up and failed to adjust. that isn't on anyone else but yourself. and no matter how many times you want to tell yourself "this is the way" it means next to nothing. half the people here are way pass your trolling ways.

And the fact that you were never taught these basic lessons is also a personal problem.

in a few weeks you're going to get some of the biggest pies and I'm absolutely going to love it so you can finally shut up about your the rockets can only win this way takes.

Game has passed me by, eh?

Well, I don't play anymore. So, in that regard, you're right.

But in terms of understanding game action and knowing what will work and what won't work..Nope.
