Now that the Steve saga is quite over, let's go over to pike..Is there a chance he can come back? A. Griff is on his way back..and Padgett and Boki is ahead of him. Can we get something in return for him?
i am shocked that pike hasn't worked out. he was a great blue collar guy in L.A. i don't see how an established nba sharpshooter just becomes a non-factor. i guess he's suffering from glen rice syndrome. i think that at least he should be put in at the end of quarters. as bad as he's been i can't think of too many players that match his salary that i would trade him for.(excluding 3 year players). if worse comes to worse trade him back to L.A, he was a fan favorite.
I think Pike will emerge eventually. It was the same with the Clippers, he would not perform well for long stretches and then he would be very good again. It's all about him finding his shot and rhythm. He is a bit similar to Voshon Lenard in that regard.
Wouldn't it be grand if Pike -- his shot, his place in the rotation -- were all the problems this team faces in the next 30 games + playoffs!
I still remembered I had started a "bash of the week: Pike" thread and Pike was out of the rotation later I hope he can make it....maybe like Steve BoomBoom Kerr that helps to turn the game around to win championships
Piatkowski is needed to effectively compete against the Griz, Mavs, and Kings. If Posey is the best shooter on the court, the Rockets have a problem.
