Of course they are. Melo, Schroder, Brooks, Donovan. Everybody, but the player they should blame, but they won’t because he’s all they have left ,and they want to enable and coddle him so he won’t leave them.
If Russ would just think to himself at all times on the court: I want to shoot this long range shot randomly, but I'm NOT GOING TO and instead will pass the ball and run around to get open.... he'd be such an amazing player. Either that, or do nothing every day for the rest of his life but practice jump shots. Russ with a 40% three point shot is a top 5 player ever maybe. Because almost all of his DUMB DECISION MAKING doesn't look so dumb if the shots go in. I mean, it's still not great, but the shot is going in so who cares...
His other problem, which is ironic, is that he is so f*cking athletic, too athletic. So much so he gets out of control and loses any fundamentals on his shot or what he's doing. He gets too fast and out of control. Yea its good for the occasional "highlight" throw down but he's all flash. Harden not being all that overly-athletic has made him into a superior, smarter more effective player then 99.9% of the league., It still befuddles me that more ex-players and media don't see the beauty in Harden's game......
I just don’t think Russ has the mental capacity to be that guy. He is who he is and as his athleticism dwindles it’s gonna get worse for OKC.
Loving that CJ is having a great series. I've met him many times. He's a great person and has the soul of a winner. I still can't like Dame after that 3 which sent us packing, but I can't blame him that much. We all know who messed up that entire series...he now rots in Toronto. OKC takes Game 3, Portland sneaks a win in game 4 and finishes them off in Portland. Paul George is not PlayoffP this year. That shoulder (courtesy of PJ Tucker ..kind of) is really bothering him. Russell doesn't trust his teammates enough to take shots, so like always, he shoots the Thunder out of games. I can't believe how much they misuse Adams. He's a monster who could easily drop 20 against the Thunder, but they don't throw it to him in the post enough. Odd.... If Donovan loses in the first round again, I think he's on the hot seat.
Harden is really special also cause he always worked to develop his game, basically every year since he has been here and become a franchise player, he worked on something new to be a better player. When i look at Westbrook i see a player that literally never added anything to his game over the years, always relied on his athleticism and that's it, i wish more people between other teams fans and media guys would give Harden the credit he deserves for that.
Maybe, to my first point. To my second point, it was more just its crazy how much efficient shooting makes a different. Much of the difference between Harden and Russ, for example, is efficiency. Or even Steph. He jacks some crazy shots, too. But makes them.
