That sucks for CP. We don't win the game without him. Media dropped the ball. He didn't.

A reporter did ask both Harden and Paul a question. Harden answered first but when Paul was about to respond, another reporter quickly asked Harden another question. Harden and Paul looked at each other and were like wtf? The reporter apologized to Paul but by no means allowing Paul to answer the previous question. It was then Paul stood up and left.

So Paul left not because of no one asked him any question, they didn't let him answer one.

 

It is NOT the officials job to make the game competitive. Their job is to call the game....call what they SEE, not what they think they see. If it's a foul in the first qtr.,it's a foul in the 2nd,3rd and 4th. A foul is a foul. Instead what happens is they let them play (as they say) ...playoff basketball as they say. No ticky tack, touch fouls....THEN what happens ? The officials change the way they are calling the game which would be fine if it's BOTH ways, but it's not. And that's how officials determine the outcome of the game. Saw it last year vs. GS...seen it many times this year.

More painfully, I watched Auburn literally get screwed out of a chance to play for the NC....a double dribble not called with 2 secs left (with an official looking straight at it from 4 feet away, as well the official ahead of him with a clear view). And then, a foul on a 3 with 0.6 of a second left.They "let them play" for 39 1/2 minutes and decided to call a foul on a 3 pt. shot. But it didn't stop there, I watched one UVA player run into another,trip and fall and a foul called on Texas Tech in OT trailing by 2, a call overturned on a slapped ball out of bounds after the Tech player was fouled not once but twice before the ball was slapped out of bounds...Tech trailed by 2 in OT. I'm using the Final Four because the "fix" was astounding. The story throughout the tournament was that UVA became the first #1 seed to lose to a #16 last year and by God, if there was any way possible, they were going to go from that to winning it all.

At this pace, people,watching a rigged game, are going to want to stop watching basketball if it continues. I PROMISE you that you will see some unbelievably one sided officiating (worse than tonight) going forward...especially when the series shifts to SLC. Sorry for the length. Go Rockets !

It's probably getting annoying when I keep saying Favors is the only mismatch on the Utah team, but I just want to point out that Favors was a +1 in a 32 point blow out. I hope they continue to not play him.

 

F***ING MEDIA! They tried to break up harden and CP3 chemistry by making it all harden and not CP3 in hope to make paul envy.

 

I hear ya, and feel the pain. You would think people would quit watching rigged games but most won't. Its always happened and always will because its too hard to prove. The Lakers of the Kobe days and GSW now get the calls when the game is close. The NBA, NFL, and NCAA have dollar signs in their eyes, and then add in the gambling business and you will find friends in high places who can persuade people to do just about anything for money or their life. Its easy to manipulate a game ending by a call or 2 when it counts. Its also easy to put a star in foul trouble early to manipulate the lineups in favor of one side. Ugh, nothing we can do about it though. They got twice as many free throws as us but we took care of business!! Everyone came to play! Go Rockets.

 

This is the team I was waiting to see. Killer instinct and taking care of business in the second half. Let's continue this for the rest of the playoffs!

 

The only addition I would like to see is to add iso's for Rivers. He can take pretty much anyone of the dribble and finish convincingly at the basket.

He shouldn't worry about his FT Percentage. Once he gets more points, he should be able to knock a couple of 3's. Go Austin! Go Houston

His defense on Mitchell was phenomenal.

 

Absolute blow out win.... And yet - Game 1 of the Playoffs AT HOME - the Utah Jazz for the majority of the game benefitted from the officials.

That was an absolutely ludicrous performance.

From 3 of Harden's first 4 fouls not being fouls, to Crowder's 3 point attempt when he fell backwards before House made contact, to two that I can remember blatant fouls from Gobert on Harden floaters not being called.

That free throw disparity was an utter joke.

Home court advantage my f*cking ass.

I would've at least expected the blatant hatchet job commencing in Round Two.

 

No doubt about that. I mentioned the points related to his offense, since it's imperative to utilize everyone's strengths. I believe his shot will only fall when he drives and makes layups. Role players like Austin might be worried about not getting calls either. Our guys did great on that front, but it's easier for Harden and Chris to deal with that.

 

We just outclass Utah, only way this isnt a sweep is if the guys get lazy or disinterested for a game.
