Rockets will play the Utah Jazz in the first round

CP3 and Austin Rivers can both guard Mitchell.

But Harden and CP3 are going to feast on Gobert! Just like last year.

Yeah I still like this match up. Rocket have enough guards who can guard Donovan - Shump, EG, Tucker, and Rivers can all D him up. No one can guard Harden - Exum is hurt.

I only fear Favors but Faried might mitigate his effectiveness.

 

I like this matchup!! I’m all for this, I seriously prefer Utah over OKC.

2nd round would be golden state meaning we will still have a relatively fresh CP3, if we faced them in the conference finals it means CP3 would be more worn out.

This is the best thing that could’ve happen to us, I’m gonna stay positive and flush out all these negative rockets fans on this forum.

 

I can already see NBA scheduling this game for 8:30PM CST Sunday night.

 

The Jazz are good because of Gobert. Their offense has improved in the last months but they rely on their defense. That starts with Gobert.

Our style typically makes Gobert worse.

Yeah, personally i don't care about Favors, don't think he's going to have much impact, everytime i saw him in the last 2 years he looked like he was 33 instead of 27, that's probably why they gave him a two year non guaranteed contract in the first place now that i think about it...

 

I guess we back to playing the Utah j*zz in the playoffs. Been awhile old rival.

This still makes me mad. I cant believe we dropped to the 4th seed. No way those teams are better.


I rather see GSW in the WCF. 2nd round means nothing.

I know what's going to happen - it's the most Rockety scenario that the Rockets can Rocket....

We will beat Utah handily in Round 1. They aren't at our level.

We will then beat GSW in 7 games in Round 2, sending off Oracle in the best way possible.

Then OKC will knock us off in the WCF, capping off our season from hell.

It's going to happen. Prepare yourselves....

I prefer Utah over OKC and I would rather play GS in the second round while we are fresh with less chance of injuries .

Life is good as a Rockets fan.

 

You should know that Favors dominates the Rockets whenever he plays. Thankfully Utah is dumb enough to keep Gobert on the court because he is their star player. Clint loves to play against Gobert.

 

Mark me down in the "this ain't so bad" column as well.

1. Jazz are the third best team in the West but I think we will own them again in the playoffs. OKC is a worse team, but at their peak present a much worse playoff matchup for us.

2. Getting GSW a round early is better for our upset chances other than the off chance Portland (yeah right) or Utah would have knocked them off. I don't really care if we end up losing in the second round or WCF this year since we got to the WCF last year.

I would have preferred the 2 seed, but I like 4 better than 3, honestly.

 

Well that's good for the Rockets since Bev has never been able to guard James Harden.

 

There's still a chance we'll face Nuggets in the WCF if we can get past the Warriors and Jazz. They only look bad against us. OKC is 0-4 against the Nuggets this year.
