Two teams everyone wants to avoid - GSW & the Rockets.

If we are going to win the Championship, we shouldn't be afraid of playing teams.

Best thing is we control our own destiny. So we win out then we can show Denver who’s boss

Yes, I'm sure they're resting all of their important players when they're so close to POR and HOU. Try harder, man...

At the least, a Portland win means both rocket and OKC will be going all out in that game, which is not the best thing going into the playoffs about 4 days later.

As #2 or #3, real chance of getting OKC, while #4 sets up GSW in the second round.

That's not true at all. The Rockets would then have 29 losses to Denver's 28.

If the Rockets were in DEN's position I'd want them to do the same thing. Portland is an easy mark in the 2nd round assuming they get past the 1st round. It would be a walk in trip to the WCF.

I see you enjoyed highlighting my point about life in general and pointing to someone else's actions. The Spurs were crappy after losing their star and tanked but the ping pong balls could have gone another direction. It's much the same case here. Who do the Rockets have to blame if the ROCKETS lose their final game? Your point can find validity in very specific circumstances but not the overwhelming majority of the time.

Then you conflated something I never asserted. I was always in favor of signing House earlier. I am very optimistic about the Rockets this postseason but less so going forward. I think the Rockets will have tremendous trouble if Morey cannot miraculously salvage the Ryno/Shumpert debacle into a trade for Butler but that is not part of this discussion either. Our discussion is simple. The Rockets want to win. The Rockets want the 2 seed. A fraudulent team is going to allow the Rockets to rightfully claim the 2 seed. The Rockets will beat the Suns and they have every reason to beat the Thunder. It matters not what Denver does but I am glad they are giving the Rockets the chance to overtake them. Denver cannot win, they know it, we know it, and their time is up. Denver did us a favor. The Rockets have themselves to blame for the way they played throughout the season when they could have still been the 1 seed even with all of the trouble.

I wouldnt mind the 4rth seed lets face it Rox only competition are Worriers. If your mindset is "lets meet GSW as late as possible" that means you are admitting GSW is the better team.

For me its better to meet GSW asap the Rox are in great condition everyone is finally healthy. A couple of intense playoff rounds and they are gonna be tired. GSW has 5 allstars sharing the load the later you meet them the greater their advantage.

    Cant blame Denver.

They look completely outmatched against the Rockets.

Playing OKC in the first round is not my idea of a good thing. I’m actually rooting against us moving into the #2 spot. Denver needs to keep winning cause we ain’t about to start losing.

Denver is quite decent as an overall team, them lacking a superstar and having several matchup flaws against some teams makes them vulnerable.
