In many ways, Allen is the perfect partner for Yao.

Not exactlt. Allen has one more ~$14m season after the current one but his Bird Rights are transferred with the trade. Highly unlikely Allen gets another contract starting at $14m.

not MoT....he is our only big scorer off the bench

i dont care what anyone says, but MoT is one our best scorers hands down and he is our only other legit post threat next to yao.

You might consider this a tongue in cheek suggestion given the poor reputation realgm has here (understandably). But assuming either team were serious about something like this apparently Steve, Cato and Mobley for Allen, Lewis, and Daniels works.

It may appear Seattle is giving up alot but they would have their starting center and backcourt. And I don't think I need to get into how Houston benefits.

Well, Seattle was interested in Mo when he was a free agent so I thought that would be a good deal for both teams. Seattle needs a low post scorer. We need sharp shooters and high IQs. That would be a great deal for both teams!

    Berry
    Allen
    Jackson
    Cato
    Yao
Cat comes off the bench. He would be our scoring punch off of the bench!

Maybe they think that Ronald Murray is ready to take over at the 2 spot. So they trade Allen to fill another hole.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to Houston and Seattle being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Seattle had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I like the original, but these things take on a life of their own in here.

Poster1) Apparently there's a rumour that the Lakers are interested in Piatkowski, and are willing to part with Fisher.

Poster2) Cool. Hey, maybe Fisher and Fox for Piatkowski and Griffin.

Poster3) Yeah, i'd do that...but we'd need another scorer. how about Pike, AG, and Cat for Kobe, Fisher and Fox?

Poster4) Cato, Francis, Mobley, and Pike for Shaq, Kobe and Payton...I mean, it seems like a little bit to our advantage, but if they're so depsperate to get Pike...

    etc. etc.

I think that year is a team option and his price is far to high. They will opt out. I think likely he will be a free agent.

No, but he reported as fact that Stoudamire was going to come to Houston.

I still remember the headline on ESPN:

"Houston, Damon is about to land".
