Well, got back from a business trip that was in Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral Florida. I used to always think that I would never leave middle Tennessee, but man, I don't know now. Didn't stay long enough to really do much, but it is so beautiful and I love the weather down there as well. What was really neat was that the Atlantic Ocean was on the right side and the Banana River was on the left side (which is really like an intercoastal waterway). So, essentially, I was on a strip of land or little island. It probably won't be at least for another 2 years or so that I could leave middle Tennessee, but I am definitely entertaining the thoughts of re-locating. What was funny was that probably the biggest attraction in Cocoa Beach besides the ocean was Ron Jon Surf Shop! That place is enormous! So, if you had the choice to go to only one place in the world (I was going to limit it to the US only but felt that was highly ethnocentric of me ) to live for awhile, where would you go?
I'd probably move to the Loire Valley in France. I'd be just 1-3 hours from Paris, and be able to enjoy the French country side, historical locale, and nice folks.
If in the states: Seattle or San Fransisco. Canada: Toronto or Vancouver. Overseas: This is where I win the lottery and buy one of those bed and breakfast bought Castles in the mountains of Germany/Europe. London or Milan.
I currently live in the Seychelles, but I might leave in another year or two if the economic situation keeps getting worse, which it looks like it will. If I go, I am planning on moving to Dubai -- it is a happening place to be these days. If that doesnt work out, I'd like to move back to Austin.
Hi Prempeh, have you been to the Maldives? If yes, how do you see them compared to the Seychelles? I have only been to the Maldives so far and have not made it to the Seychelles yet, but I sure want to go!
