TONIGHTS SEEDING IMPLICATIONS SPURS AND thunder both have 5 games left Spurs have 4 winnable games but thunder have a stretch of 3 winnable then the last 2 games they could get lucky by playing resting teams in Houston and Milwaukee. Knowing dantoni rockets will not rest their guys against okc., but budenholzer will, knowing this OKC could get lucky and win all of their last 5 games. What we need is OKC to lose to LA tonight, that will drastically decrease OKCs chances of rising to 7. And San Antonio must stay true to form winning 4/5 last games. SAS has one tough game remaining against Denver who will look to win that game to lock up that 2 seed. For this case alone we need OKC to lose one of the next 3 games. For them to raise their chances for the 8 seed. So tonight we are rooting For LA over OKC SAS over hawks (doable but u never know) Warriors over nuggets (which pretty much locks dubs as the 1 seed) And of course Houston must handle buisness tonight and tommorow. If we win tonight and Dubs also win we will be 1.5 GB of Denver with 4 games remaining. Denver plays Portland twice. Even a 1/2 would take Portland out of the equation for the 2/3 seeds. Rockets have 2 tough games remaining in clippers and okc and winning tommorow in LAC would really open the window for the 2 seed
I'm OK with the Rockets locking down 3rd seed. That could all change If Clippers come out and play the Rockets well on Wednesday. Then I wouldn't be too excited for that 3-6 match up. @count_dough-ku check @rockets13champs' work.
i dont really want the 2 seed id rather play clippers or jazz rather than spurs or thunder. also, doesnt a nuggets loss tonight open the door for portland, who we dont have the tiebreaker with, to get the 2 seed ?
We just need the Nuggets to lose 3 more games, and the Blazers to lose 1 more. We don't need to worry about nothing else. Portland will need to win all the games left in order to get to the second seed, which means they'll need to beat Denver twice in the remaining games. Denver is going to lost to GSW tonight, so the difference in losing columns between us and Denver will be erased. In that case, if we win all the games rest(which we have a good chance to do so), we can still hold our 3rd seed. I don't really care about the 2nd seed as long as we can hold the 3rd seed. It's only meaningful for Harden's MVP case(which has very little hope given all the hate and bias toward him).
I’ve said this in my post, even if blazers go 1/2 in their (2 games vs Denver) they’ll be eliminated from 2/3 unless rockets lose to clips/okc
We’ve been saying that Portland without cj mac would struggle to keep winning, and that bucks without brogdon would struggle to win too.. both those teams have been winning. Let’s just win the games we have left and see where destiny takes us
We haven’t played the Clippers with a full healthy lineup yet this year. CP was out the first game because of the suspension and James didn’t play the 2nd game because of injury and the Melo and MCW experiment was still going on.
