I’m all for being aggressive on the base paths, but we cannot keep running at this pace. We’ll run ourselves into a record number of caught stealings if we do.

    Good.

Now we have Verlander and Cole going. Show the Arlington trash no mercy.

Great first outings for McHugh and Peacock. The effectiveness of those 2 is the true key to this regular season.

Pitching is clearly going to carry this team this year

This team will mash, just a matter of time. Pitching will be key for winning another World Series imo.

I don't know about that. This offense has plenty of potential to be potent once they get into a rhythm.

Altuve and Bregman both have a solo HR. Aside from that they are a combined 3-33, call me overly optimistic but I think they might perform a little better than that as the season goes on.

Since Springers 3 run shot, we are 2-28 with RISP. Another thing the optimist in me feels will improve.

We shouldn't have to give the marathon speech every season.

.285, second best in baseball, also the 2nd best OPS by a big margin over 3rd place. And that's without Brantley and a lot of down seasons.

I'm a big fan of McHugh and Peacock. That said, both their arms could fall off, and Astros would still arguably be the best team in baseball.

McHugh and Peacock are more bad luck insurance, for a little extra towards being the best team in baseball, and to kick the Rangers while they are down.

What's up with the offense? All our stars are hitting like crap other than Correa's outburst.

It's an unconscious effort not to get hugged. I get it. Let's get back to the basics with water cup splashes. We've taken it too far. There are no hugs in baseball.
