Rockets remaining schedule: at Kings at Clippers vs Knicks vs Suns at OKC Nuggets remaining schedule: at Warriors vs Spurs vs Blazers at Blazers at Jazz vs Wolves Blazers remaining schedule: at Wolves vs Grizzlies at Nuggets vs Nuggets at Lakers vs Kings Looks kinda good after this Denver loss tbh, it won't be easy but i think we have a chance, and at least the third seed should be our.
If the Rockets win next weeks Games which they should we could have the number 2 seed by next week . Denver could lose the next 3 to 5 games
Yep, that's what i think it will happen too, even though i wouldn't be shocked to see Denver winning both with Nurkic and CJ out. And fwiw i think Minnesota has the chance to do us a solid tommorrow, at home they play much better and Towns should give them trouble.
This is great for us. We just have to win the ones that we should. Only clippers give us trouble and we play at staples. Okc with everyone healthy should be a W but besides those two we should be able to win the rest. I had Denver winning Against the wiz and they were up last I checked. But this and the pacers games were really good for us. Also blazer losing the other night. Now it would be okay if the blazers n Denver split one. Coz I’m sure the worriers will beat Denver next game. Even if they win they have to face Portland and spurs. And everyone is playing for a better spot now
GSW might have figured out the Cousins/Bogut Situation. Cousins can't be playing more than 20 or 25 minutes. Their Offense and Defense click better without him but he is a big body that can hold down the fort. They prolly hope he fouls out more/or gets ejected.
We will learn something about the Rockets the next two games. The Rockets should win these games, but it won't be easy. The Kings are going to make the Rockets run, and after losing to the Rockets on Saturday, they are going to go all out far a win on their home court. The next night we have to play the red hot Clippers with all those ex-Rockets looking to knock us off on the second half of the back to back. The Rockets are going to need to really want these games in order to win both. If the second seed is something they really want, then these games are almost like playoff games.
Btw I remember a couple months ago or weeks that most of the media said that we would probably wouldn’t stay in the top 4 spots or that getting 2nd spot wasn’t even possible. Also I think Scottie Pippen if I’m not mistaken, said OKC would stay at the 3 spot and us would either be 4 or 5. He believed okc was better than us too. Now getting the 2 spot is just 2 games ahead
i think this may be a secret plot by denver to bait rockets into going full strength for a 2nd seed and possibly suffer some injuries before we meet them in the playoffs
This is really the crux of the end of the season. The Nuggets are going to give it up. If we win these two games we get the 2 seed, if not we don't. Spurs will sit in 7th and then the Nuggets can get run around the court by the Clips in the playoffs. From 14th to essentially 1 or 2 games behind the 1 seed after being the 14th seed. That is a huge accomplishment. Our team sat in 1st for so long last season and got bored at the end. They were sluggish going into the playoffs. The previous year where the team hustled to get the two spot we beat the Clips and went to the Conference Finals. Our team has constantly proved its true identity comes out when it has to scrape and claw for everything. It reveals the defensive and energized team.
We’re three games out, it’s all about losses at this point. I like Denver and Portland splitting, seems best way for Rockets to pull it off
Denver stinker is overdue. They had buzz beater wins in Dallas and Indiana, got them two miraculous wins.
I don't know if the 2 seed is better really. I see us playing the Clippers in that spot. Do you think Utah or Spurs are tougher teams? I guess if we can't beat any of those teams we don't deserve the 2nd round any way.
I have a question. If DEN loses enough for us to make up three losses and tie, it's likely POR will also make up 3 losses and tie...for a 3-team tiebreaker. In that event, DEN will still win the Division over POR, as they are currently 2-0 v POR, and have better DIV record locked up, already. Question: We will win a HOU-DEN-POR tiebreaker, right? Because, they will only consider HOU-DEN by virtue of being Division Winners, right? There is a scenario where DEN has worst aggregate record, and POR/HOU tie on aggregate.
Rule for Three-Team Tiebreaker: 1. Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division) 2. Best head-to-head winning percentage among all teams tied 3. Highest winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division) 4. Highest winning percentage in conference games 5. Highest winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference 6. Highest point differential between points scored and points allowed http://www.espn.com/nba/playoffs/matchups
Yes, I know that. But in a DEN-HOU-POR tie, both DEN and HOU will be Division Winners (I think). Does that mean POR is knocked out, and then they go to 2-team tiebreaker rules? I guess I'm trying to make a very declarative statement, that we win any scenario of a DEN-HOU-POR tie-breaker, right?
Pissed me off how easily we could have gotten 1st seed this year, we ****ed off so many easy games and will likely end up only 4 or so games back from 1st seed, only around 2 games back from 2nd seed.
