Currently playoffstatus.com has us: 52% chances of finishing as the 3 seed 39% chances of finishing as the 4 seed 5% chances of finishing as the 2 seed As for matchup probabilities: 35% chances of playing Utah 32% chances of playing the Clippers 19% chances of playing San Antonio 11% chances of playing Oklahoma City 3% chances of playing Portland Personally I think Utah is going to be a great matchup for us. Gobert becomes a huge defensive liability against Harden and they just don't have enough firepower to keep with us. I really don't want to play against the Clippers because I have this weird feelings that those ex-Rockets are going to torch us, Beverley is going to try to injure Harden and Austin is going to falter in front of his dad.
I voted for the Clippers. In the end, I think not having a bonafide superstar is going to hurt them. I know they have Lou and that they play great team basketball, but I just feel like Lou can be stopped while Harden can't. Every other option has a dude or two, that can go nuclear.
Clippers bar none. Coach Clippers is not going to draw a play against Austin. Refs aren't going to let Clippers win. NBA does not want Clippers vs Thunder. Rockets does not need to avoid, NBA teams should avoid us. Play em all, Harden is going to make history with CP3.
I don't really know, but while i do agree with you about the Jazz, don't see them being a problem for us, i don't know what to think about the Clippers, we had problems with them this season, but it's also true we played them when we were playing loke trash and that to me they look like a regular season team so...they might be easier than the Jazz in the end. Anyway, those two teams are the easiest matchups imo.
Utah has Mitchell and good defense, but we know how to play against them. Familiarity is only reason why I'm voting for this matchup versus the Clippers. We should be able to beat either one of them.
I disagree with that mentality. Team chemistry and talent goes a long way. Did you watch the Clippers/Jazz series in 2017 or the OKC/Jazz series in 2018??
It's the playoffs, and all 8 teams just got done with 82 games. They ALL have great team chemistry. Which is why I'm picking the team with the "least" talent, that being the Clippers.
