It shows you how tough it is to beat the "best player on best team" narrative - which to me is BS.

14-15 Curry best team. 18-19 Giannis best team. 16-17 Harden would have won if he had the best record.

Harden had a career year this year, historical one, right up there with Wilt MJ and Kobe and he took less shots, played less minutes, and had more assists than those guys. He did things that haven't been seen ever in this league. He even had a beautiful storyline, something the media loves - Harden took a team full of injuries from the bottom of an ultra competitive conference to 3rd seed. What more do you need? Him scoring 40 ppg? A 82 pt game?

Yet, best player on the best team will beat him.

Three point percentage is so weird. It's like "holy crap, he shot 23 3's?! And he only made 7 of them? Jesus, quit chuckin 3's when you're not hitting them!"

Then you realize that 7/23 is 30% and not good, but if he had hit just 1 more 3, he'd be 8/23 which is about 35% and average, and if he had hit just 2 more 3's, he'd be 9/23, which is 39% and damn good. So the difference between fans moaning "STOP CHUCKING 3's, I HAVE GROWN TO HATE JAMES FRAUDEN" and nobody (nobody sane) saying anything really bad about his 3 point shot on a night like this is 1 or 2 3's. lol.
