I think anything is possible. Portland has the easiest schedule but I could see them drop a couple of them. Denver could lose a few. This is going down the wire. We will need to win out tho..tough to do but it would be huge for us.
Well, good in one way. OKC and San Antonio are increasingly likely to finish 7th and 8th. Which means we either face the Jazz or the Clippers in Round 1.
Utah has a B2B late in the season at the Clippers. I think they'll finish with at least 31 losses. All the Rockets have to do is beat the Kings, Knicks, and Suns at home and the Kings at Sactown to wind up with no more than 30 losses.
Honestly that would be so disappointing if they fell to 5. Seems like they've at least made progress to get to this point and played well. To end the season and fall 2 spots would be demoralizing. I'm not expecting the Rockets to beat the Warriors or anything but they should at least be able to get to the WCF if everything goes right.
Blazers play some tough games we should be able to get the 3 seed. The 2 seed is a fantasy as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully GSW keep up their end of the Bargain and get the 1 seed. Though I gotta say it's hard supporting them
Huge game for Denver Tuesday. If they beat GS, they have a good chance at the 1 seed. Warriors don’t seem interested right now. They can easily drop another couple of games. GS as a 2 seed would really make things interesting in the second round. Rockets just need to stay focused on playing solid D and getting healthy. I think we will be ok if we finish anywhere from 3 - 6.
Blazers should likely have 2 or 3 more losses coming up @Detroit b2b, @Minnesota, @denver and vs Denver. The Rockets need to plan on winning out to grab the third seed with 3 tough games @Sacramento, @Clippers b2b and @OKC. Seems like a coin flip unless the Blazers just collapse.
