Well, I just googled it and it looks like his bosses issued a statement saying they "strongly support him", which is disappointing. He was written out of the final two episodes of the season but it appears that doesn't preclude him from returning next season. Honestly if I'm him I'm more concerned about keeping the gig than a couple of years of probation or even something like six weeks in jail. The reason he did this, after all, still appears to be a bizarre plot to get a raise. So I guess I'm going to come down against the outcome, after all. The only real price he is paying is a bunch of bad PR.
I just hope they give him real community service washing police cars, cleaning the fire department, raising the flag at the court house, picking up trash on the side of the roads
No one's read the full Mueller report, but we do know that the Mueller report literally concludes, word for word, "The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities." The investigator exonerated Trump on any collusion with Russia. Smollett on the otherhand.. the investigators said they have enough evidence on Smollett that it would have been an easy case to win.
Im not going to beat a dead horse in regards to how he has hurt his cause. However he has proven that regardless of skin color, a wealthy or influential person can get preferential treatment in our justice system. He is just another hypocritical elite playing on the fears of others.
Was under the impression that Foxx recused herself from this case and wasn't involved in today's decision. Is that not the case?
Who is Tina Tchen, the attorney linked to Jussie Smollett messages? https://www.foxnews.com/us/who-is-tina-tchen-the-attorney-linked-jussie-smollett-messages
Jussie would not bring the "movement" into this fire. He is marginalized and now he is an innocent man.
Gotta tell you, you guys make it really tough to keep focused on disliking Smollett with all your crazy.
Stay focused. Think about how he jumped at chance to "cooperate" by identifying what he knew would have to be two innocent individuals until he found out the police had actually tracked down the guys he asked to help him fake the attack. He is still taking position that he was telling the truth so he is still throwing the two of them under the bus. Bad guy. Good connections.
